first of ill say hey, this is my first post so looking forward to seeing what u guys think.
my car is a vx series 2 ss 2001 red

any ways Ive been doing up my car to make it go faster it looks like a stock ss but not.
anyways when i first got the car when i was 18 back in 2008 it run a best of 14.4 down the quarter mile so nothing special stock ss with stock power.
then came my first mods.
maf tune
exhaust system (manta twin 2.5/pacemakers 4 into one 1.7/8)
3.9 diff gears. some turkey hade a none lsd in it when i first got it so got a new diff and why not put some 3.9s in it
brand new transmision with stage 2 shift kit. transmision shat it self so got a shift in the new one.
hsv cold air intake.
it then made 220rwkw with a best of 13.4 quarter mile time
not to bad considering the conpresion ranged from 178-220 gave al difernt sort of times from 13.4-13.9
his was fun for a while then the last few months i just got my licence back and thought the power needed an upgrade
so after a long time of taking in consideration what works and wht i use the car for i came up with 383 stroker with a cam change. so i started hunting around for the parts whilst riping the engine outa the car and completly striping it.
found a wiseco stoker kit with fel pro gasket kit from the bloke that was reconing my heads turned out he hade it from a bloke that wanted to stroke his ls1 corvette but didnt end up using it because of technicality's.
so i got the same bloke to hone out my bloke to fit the new stroker kit in.
then cam across a cam that c.o.m.e came up with just for a stroker kit.
so with all the main parts together timed to start looking for the lil parts so go a double row timing chain kit bye crow and a higher compresion oil pump.
and then STOP.
lol im going in for surgury in the next few weeks sooo im keeping my money to pay the bills till i get back to work
anyways ill give u the price for the parts that i have brought so far and the specs on what i got so far
maf tune

came up to $4500 installed
new transmision with shift kit $2500 installed
383 stroker hit h beam rods all forged.surprisingly 80g lighter than stock ones fel pro gasket kit with my heads reconed block honed $4300
2800rpm 9.5 converter $800 from alfst converters
cam and springs 232/242 $880
oil pump,double row timing chain kit $445
and thats the list of my mods/soon to be mods
all i need to put it back together now is some new lifters and underdrive kit then theres the tune.
so when my engine is back together im hoping for about 400-450rwhp

just an update
the last few weeks have been varry fustrating. i got my underdrive kit got my lifters BUT 1 lifter was missing so now ive hade to send a cheque of to nsw bye another 4 more lifters because they only come in packets of 4 and now im forsed to waight another 1-2 weeks till i get it back. before this i hade a problem with the valve springs i hade fited them on and then relised what was stopping the springs from wearing the aloy away so then later on just brought some new gm valve seals so that solved that problem. but such little things holing me up exstra 2 weeks now. i realy want to get my beast back on the road.
