Nice ride mate, very clean, honestly though, id scrap the extractors respray etc, and save to buy a v8 s or ss or something. very nice car though, love the rims.
nice car mate.
exact same color as my mums old one was.
y dont you go for the nice vx calais garnish with the chrome strip
yeah thats been on my mind, i used to have a mint condition VS SS that i regret selling and so i really want to get back behind the wheel of a nice v8. just have to work on clearing a bit of debt first lol. i guess the smart thing to do is to leave it as it is and just do the minor things like the lights and handles etc... and let the old savings account build up.
carra909- good idea i'll be sure to get one of those, thanks. any other ideas lol?
nice car mate, how does the lukey sound on the car? im not sure if i should go lukey or redbacks, let me know what u think
Lukey Catbacks on a VT are awesome.
i reckon it sounds great for $180, definately go Lukey. mine sounds heaps lumpy for a standard v6.
have you got any vids of how your car sounds?? im prob def gonna go with the lukey cant wait on the outcome, hope it sounds awesome
nah i dont man, but just to give you an idea of the sound; its not droney when just cruising around but when you give it a kick in the guts it is loud and crisp. i only have a 2.5" catback with a single sports muffler with a straight through tailpipe, no resonator.
i was suprised on how it sounded when i first started it up with it being an off the shelf item, i usually get custom made exhausts.

ok fair enough, thanks for the help, but i got told they dont make exhausts anymore and on the website they only have the 3inch exhausts? so how and where did you get yours from and is it the whole system that is lukey??
yep it all LUKEY, tho only a catback system. i have standard headers.
i just went to a local auto parts shop where i live and asked if they sold lukey exhausts and they said they did, so i placed an order for a 2.5" catback but they could only get me the middle pipe with sports muffler cos the tail pipe with resi was unavailable so lukey gave me a straight through tailpipe without a resi for $45.
all up it cost me $185 and i fitted it to the car in 10mins.
they do exist, just go around your town to exhaust shops and ask about Lukey exhausts.
dont go off the websites as they are usually outdated, best off to go ot there and ask around.
or try repco if there is one near you. tho it will be dearer than what i paid for mine. they wanted $320 when i was gonna order through them.
thanks man, yeah i have been thinkin of just gettin series II taillights as i dont think i could be bothered to spend a few hundred on the vx ones and the garnish, more money i can spend on cleaning it up.
seeing as it not a powerhouse or a sportscar i think i will just try to make it a nice clean cruiser like yours. basically want to make mine identical bodywise as yours; just different colour and rims.
been ages since i've been on here, so here's an update...my 19's are now gone and i just have a set of interceptors on at the moment and i have put in a full black leather interior, also have a vx series 2 IRS cradle with 3.07 LSD that is in the process of getting put in. not much else has changed but i am maybe going to purchase an L67 or an aftermarket supercharger kit to go in it, not sure yet. will keep you's updated.
