looking really good man very nice, i like how its all colour coded... was it hard to put the sunglass holder in with the lights etc? i'm thinking of doing that.. how much was your ss kit? looks awesome
no kit, you have to do wiring yourself.
(note: i wouldn't do it, not worth it. plus on a hot day sunnies will bake in it)
just buy the unit in black or beige from ebay or the forum if there is any.
tap into existing dome light and feed from doors, so light operates in exact same was the dome light does but can also be on independently.
be careful when mounting the unit with screws, make sure they arnt too long. or you'll have some nice dents in your roof.
also take your time measuring and cutting the roof lining. easy to stuff up.
Good luck. ill try fish out my wiring diagram for how i wired up my sunglass holder.
I put a sunnies holder in my VS and had no problems... Granted, i had the roof lining out when I put it in. The wiring was pretty simple... There are diagrams in my my ride thread. I haven't had it in over a summer yet, so it will be interesting to see what kind of temp the sunnies get to... I'll try some form of insulation if it's unbearable.
I like this car... very nice, subtle but cool...
Nice work... What are the plans for the future?
thanks guys. i had the head lining out when i did the sunglasses holder. and yeah the sunnies do cook in summer, but it's great for storing them in winter when ya get the odd sunny day.
i brought the ss kit from a local bumper dealer. front and rear bar cost 300. then 160 for new side skirts. i got them instaed of replacing the rear bar with a standard one after the accident.
not much planned for the future as yet. acouple of guages here and there. fundage kinda limited with a new bubs in the mix.
cheers andy![]()
Looks tough mate that's the look i want for my VT, nice VX SS front and super lows. Do you have any issues with scraping on speed bumps drive ways and stuff? Car looks schmick mate good job
Check out my ride: GILLO's VT Berlina - SS Kitted - VY Sigs - Leather Interior
nah no issues at the moment, i'm running 40 series rubber so the car is actually an extra inch off the ground. mudflaps still scrape goin through macca's and stuff, but not too bad. when i put the 35 series tyre on it'll sit lower and i'll probably scrape alot more.
cheers
