Here is my new ride, picked her up this weekend 2002 series2 vx ss 6sp. already used tank of fuel since i got it haha. Pretty thirsty car. fun to drive Its stock at moment. first mod will be exhaust. I just have to decide which exhaust to get. I dont really know much about ls1's.

lol there not thirsty when driven normally mate like any car harder you go more it uses. Altho first couple weeks of mine my fuel usage wasnt the best either id recomend a manta s/s from not an abba fan, there wa made but im he can post. if your even thinking about getting a cam dont get a tune now, just save ur cash and get a cam and tune in one go.

I will be only getting an exhaust, otr. then tune. not really interested in cam. what sort of power would i be looking at with only these mods? would twin 2.5inch or twin 3inch be better for these mods? Im finding it hard to find an exhaust note that i like. I see a few LS1's getting around that sound awesome, but others sound crap. I dont want to pay all that money for an exhaust, for something that i done like.

And yeah im not too concerned about the fuel im using, because im driving it pretty hard haha. Im sure the novelty will wear off after a while haha.

twin 2.5inch is plenty and should sound awesome. xforce sounds nice but drones, DF wont drone but isnt as loud. most manual ls1's with tune,otr and exhaust make 220-240rwkws. depends on the dyno really.

had a look at xforce site, and think they are all stainless exhausts. How much are these worth for just the catback. Im guess a lot?

What about this exhaust? seems pretty cheap. Are they hard to fit yourself with just car stands? cheers.

think i might get that one then. it says i can choose whether i want a rear resonator or a straight pipe. you think the straight pipe will sound alright? from my experience with rear resonators on V6's its too quiet so ive ended up cutting them out and running straight pipe. would this be the same with the V8s
