Alrighty! Well the car got towtruck'd to the mechanics shop yesterday at like 2ish, had to chuck the old enigne in the tray with the rest of the gear so all parts are there except the plenum chamber bottom half and front coolant gallery thingo which im trying to hunt down atm. She looked bloody dumped as! Talked to the mechanic and cos i labelled every bolt etc ive made his job 1000 times easier and should have her up and running by mid next week woooo!!! The excitement is seriously killing me Mangaged to finally come up with a list of all the things i want to do to the car.. its literally all thats left! Il post that up after..

As for any other updates, i bought the vx ss cluster background (grey one) and installed it the other night, looks so much better than the old gay black one haha so its all coming together!

So just got some pics of the engine up, getting very excited now, this is the engine from southcotts with some bolted on parts (heads upwards, sensors and pulleys etc) that the mechanics putting together and chucking in the car.. looks all nice and tidy, kinda wishing id sprayed the rocker covers now, but eh no big.

Bought a genuine VX gear knob for the car was over the crappy isotte thing that was on it, and also a replacement clutch pedal rubber which was alot easier to get my hands on than i thought along with a cruise control setup coming in tomos too so everything is happening!

Car is back in my posession! Has the new clutch / engine / mounts and everything installed up and running and just fixed a little rubber on the exhaust now shes sound good again ALTHOUGH! Turns out a possible balancer is out and the timing is now out and im getting shudders through the driveline.. My mechanc tried to get in contact with the manufacturers but they were closed when we tried.. so everything is great except that.. Going to be a pain in the ass now.. but.. possible cam installation while its getting fixed? Ideas anyone?

well guys im happy to say that all is now fixed and shes running brilliantly! smooth as a whistle.. soft as well shes not soft she goes pretty hard love the torque! SO it turns out that the flywheel or something was marked incorectly by the previous mechanic that worked on it / the clutch machinist or something either way flywheel got adjusted on a hunch and shes all good now! cant wait to rake up the kms on her this wknd!

SO the odometre is currently sitting at just over 500kms and no problems with her except the fact the powersteering reservoir kinda let go and the thing came outa the brackets in the engine bay causing the belt to cut into both hoses and oil spill all over the place.. What a pain in the As5! Have to wait till friday to fix that, but its ok... its ducktaped.. lol

Also got my new rims now 18x8 CSA Speedsters, set back $270ea which i was all good with, look great, getting some tyres put on them today.. totally stocked, jst need some good locknuts now / any at all haha. Will get pics up later today when there all on =D

Front bar is now sprayed matt black, jst wid a spray can, for now till i get my hands on the sideskirts and rear skirts and il get it all sprayed at once, along with the spotties now temp wired up. heres a quick pic.

Update. been a while again but no more updating for this car as i have just traded it in for my new 2003 4x4 turbo diesel rodeo twincab with tub, sprts bars and roof racks, 120,000 on the clock and enjoying it alot more than i thought Dont think im able to post 4x4 ride prides on a commie thread lol

As if you sold it for a rodeo Was a nice car man, i love VU's, seemed like you had a lot of trouble with it but still an awesome car
