oh sh*t mate! how'd the calais come off? minimal damage??
Pretty minimal pretty badly scratched and a large dint on both the rear panel and the bumper. Plus the chrome strip has been damaged which will need to be replaced. took a quote today of $600.... but ya know not paying for it so not worried about price. just that a good job is done.

well atleast the damage wasn't too bad. looking forward to seeing what ya do the it mate. i've always loved the calais
Picked up a new set of wheels last weekend of eBay. Scoop at $325 for 18" however were sitting under his house and needed a big clean and a cut and a polish.... they were black
Had to give them a standard wash before i could start to cut and polish. This photo is after the wash with the RIGHT one finished and the LEFT one about to be started on.... Painstaking but worth it

Hey nice car mate. I was talking too a few mates on here and were wondering if its actually an international? As the internationals have:
Badge on the rear pillar
17in international wheels
'international series' sticker on left hand side of garnish
Tan interior
And paint colour which they only made it in dark blue/grey if im right?
It looks really good, not saying it isnt im just curious too see if this is a rare model or something as i havent seen one like it before
Cheers![]()
nice callum get that pulley asap you wont regret it.
cheers man, Yeah man i need it done. I have a small priority list, tyres for new wheels, new alternator and a new power steering pump. However i think it just need new seals.
I have half finished projects everywhere at the moment + i have my App in at the queensland police service so things are pretty hectic
Alternator and power steering pump, going to be replaced under warranty..... giggty
Bit of an update.
Took the car down to Eagers Holden today to get both pumps replaced under warranty. Get a call in the arvo, they have to send the alternator of to a reco cause thats what they "DO" for warranty. (would think it would be cheaper for them to replace), the pump is going to be replace under warranty. The Steering rack has a leak in it too, WHICH is also covered under warranty which is frikin awesome.
So they tell me that they are going to order the parts in and give me a call to come in and re book it in and they will need it for a couple of days. Which will have to happen early January.
Honest to god this would piss a normal person off, but been that they are going to do $1800 worth of parts and labor under warranty i am not to fussed this time.
Only pain is that i won't have the car for a couple of days..... which reminds me that i still have to hit the old man's missus up for the damage to the rear bummer and rear quarter panel
Need new tyres, but why..... i do not know
Got new tyres for the wheels today

By any chance does anyone have any center caps??????? Prefer Cheap
Picked up some new rocker cover gaskets. Decided to paint the covers chevy orange
It looks more red at the moment but the colour will turn more orange with heat and time.
Here are the results:

That actually looks pretty cool. Might as well leave the turtle cover off as it just keeps some heat and noise in. So long as chev badges dont find their way onto the car at some point...
That pulley looks huge as well, really should do something about it as well. I have a Mace 10psi kit and one of their cai's on my vs l67 and its great. But now I want more power.
wheels look good callum but you need to bring it back to earth! lol
Cheers
I noticed when i took the throttle body off it's caked with black oily shit so maybe next week i will pull it off and the throttle body adapter and give them a good clean.
Yep lowering it is going to be second on that list. First.......... time to change that pulley..........
The other day when i did the rocker covers i noticed how much of a build up of shit there was in the throttle body and the throttle body adapter. So today i decided to pull them off and give them a clean. Just used carby cleaner and a tooth brush
Here are the Results
BEFORE
AFTER
AND ME EXPRESSING MY EXTREME HATRED TOWARDS REMOVING THE THROTTLE BODY ADAPTER

hahaha I know how ya feel.. I had to remove the TB and Rocker covers 10 times because i was having issues with my rockers.. 10th times the charm and i finally got it perfect. The problem was the valve springs are not strong enough. come feb = new block and stronger springs yew
Still have this pulley sitting here for ya.. we can fit it on the day just give me 45min to refit the snout but like i said the snout has a crack it in so u have to keep topping up the fluid in the snout otherwise i will ware out the gears on the m90. Using it for one day will be fine just get it swapped over to ya normal snout after.
you will feel a shitload more torque when taking off.. Mine on the other had get valve float up high so i start loosing power after 4500 rpm
