Default My supercharged VT with monaro front and rear

    Hey all

I picked this up a couple of weeks ago and have changed a few things already, but here's the run down.

    Model: 1998 VT S-Pack

    Colour: White

Body Mods: Monaro front and rear, side skirts, clear indicator lenses, tint

    Engine Type: L67

Engine Mods (that I know of): 10psi pulley, SS inductions CAI, K&N Filter, 8.8mm Top Gun Leads, Heat shield, platinum plugs, Chiptorque chip (going by all the stickers that were on it when it arrived)

Power: Not sure, but will be on the dyno on Friday

Exhaust: Pacemaker extractors, Twin 2.25 or 2.5 inch supercat system

    Gearbox: Auto with shift kit

    Diff: 3.08 open wheeler

Suspension: Monroe shocks, King SSL (I think)

    Wheels/Tyres: 18" VZ CV8 wheels / Bridgestone Firehawk TZ1000 235/40 tyres

Interior: Stock S-Pack with B&M water temp and boost gauge on dash

    Stereo: Pioneer deck and speakers

    Cheers

Cheers mate. The first thing I did was put those wheels on as it had Chromies and I wasn't a fan. Also the above pics have the tail lights that came with the car (altezza monaro). I wasn't a big fan so I swapped them with genuine monaro. This is the only pic I have of the rear as it looks today, as I only swapped the tail lights a couple of days ago.

Picked up with the body as is. I've only changed the wheels and tail lights. This was it with the chromies and altezza lights a fortnight ago.

Yeah mate, it's from QLD. Came down a fortnight ago. Do you know much about it? I bought it from a wholesaler and he doesn't have all the details.

Shattered, thought you put a full monaro rear on (ie sheetmetal).

Damn those lights are shocking, go back to the red ones

She looks mint as mate, especially with the SSZ rims. Very nice.
Where did you get those rims from mate? Very rare 2nd hand, set on ebay at the moment going for $1000+ with a couple of days left!! Crazy money for 18s

Well, it could possibly be the same car then.

I got my mags from ls1 . com - I did pay over $1k for them, but the tyres were only 2 weeks old. Definately an improvement over the chromies that were on there.

..and thanks everyone for the kind words

    Cheers

If I end up keeping this one, I'm sure there will end up being something shiney sitting behind that bumper!

The monaro body kit really suits it man. Looks so much better with the monaro lights and your rims on it then the stuff you bought it with.

Not sure where the best place to get the front from is, but I believe it's a genuine VZ monaro bumper and headlights, so try holdens in the first instance (although I'm sure it will be expensive!).

Thanks mate, you must have the same taste as me. I think it looks 100 times better now!

Funny you mention the white walls, that was going to be the next on my list of things to do.

..but it maybeup for sale soon, as a change in work means I don't need transport. Then I can do what I've always wanted and get a dedicated weekend toy. Still undecided, but if anyone is interested PM me.
