Hey all.. new to this forum so i thought i would show u all my current ride

Name: Larry
Model: VT exec
Colour: Bermuda blue(resprayed in nov '08) with a bit extra pearl in it
Bodykit: VT HSV Manta
Engine Type: GenIII LS1
Engine Mods: just a tune from hi torque(bought the car with it done)
Power: Not sure sure
Exhaust: HM headers(tri-y's) Opened up cats, Twin 2-1/2in X-force exhaust
Gearbox: 4L60E
Diff: High Performance, nothing special
Brakes: New rotors with bendix pads
Suspension: Front is stock, not even fe2(will change tho) rear has kings lows with new shocks, to stop it squatting
Wheels/Tyres: 20in black centred American Specialities/now vt hsv 18s
Interior: grey ss leather
Other Mods: Bit n pieces have been changed, roof lining in dark grey inside of cream, bits out of a calais-door handles, auto button, handbrake button, interior light.. too much to list really.. blue led switch lighting
Stereo: JVC bluetooth h/u, 4 poineer speakers in the doors, kenwood 6x9's in the shelf, 2x12in kenwood subs in custom install built by myself, 4ch kenwood amp for speakers and monoblock(600rms) kenwood pushing the subs
Build Period: 14months
Cost: 10k spent on it after buyin it
Contacts: Mick at Men @ Work exhaust Capalaba
Future Mods: get it retuned eventually but not a high on the to do list

looks very nice and tidy mate, nice color too but sorry you'd be a fool to pt the wing back on.. leave it off!! VT's especially look good from the rear with the wing off, they have a nice round ass

cheers mate..yeah i will get a mafless done but im not a fan of otr's... but in sayin that after seeing the Duspeed otr's recentally i might go with one of them tho..

cheers mate... lucky i have 2 boot lids... other one has the manta wing on it now, ready for paint... will fit it and if i dont like it i will change it back over.. manta wing sits nice n low

got it done at mates rates... got quotes in bris for around $5000-5500 but it was alot less then that

hey sweetfu... yeah i built the install myself.. not hard but very time consuming... nearly 30hrs to do this, my first install was in my old vl calais turbo... i wanted the one in the vt as best it could be for a home job... didnt wanna spend thousands gettin someone else to do it

That boot install is nuts. Defo got some talent there.

Personally i'd go with a Senator 'lip', much better than the manta wing.

i been seaching for a senator lip since i bought the vt last year... i want a genuine one, not a copy.. even copies are hard to come across...

Nice work! When I opened the thread I was expecting to see another half stocker but I love the clean paint job and the boot install is immaculate. Once again, Nice work!

just my opinion here so its worth nothing really lol but ill give it anyway, i think that the VT's have a sexy curvy back end and putting a spoiler on will usually wreck it, but like i said just my opinion.

funny u say that mate, i walked outside this morning and i decided the wing is stayin off... ended up changing the bootlid over again lol

Like i said earlier, Senator wing is 100 times better than manta wing. But manta wing is better than an SS or clubby style wing

car looks insane man u picked a great colour loving the boot install 2 aswell as being practicle. i would have left the wing it makes the car i rekon but gone with the senator wing also.

wat happend 2 the black rims? they suited it nicely, not my style of rim tho but the black with machined lips looks nuts on this colour.

hey mate cheers.. the black rims were swapped a while back, there on a black vx from this forum i got sick of replacing tyres from camber, im actually lookin for a set of 19 or 20s again now but they wont be used everyday, i have my 18s for that

i got new wheels again... still waitin for tyres for the rears.. genuine VE R8 clubby.. 19x8 fronts n 19x9.5 rears... here pics of the fronts on one side so i could the visual of them on the car... still thinkin about paintin the rims black tho...
