having a break now, ive pulled everything apart, had to cut the foam at the back of the bumper to fit snug, also soldered up my indicator looms, drilled a hole for the drivers side headlight as it was about 5mm to low for the screw. now my problem is that the left line on the bonnet is touching the bumper, ive moved the #### down (yes, yes i know, funny) which didnt make much of a differnce, but im just hoping it is off balance because the guards arent on at the moment.

anyway pictures for all. also ill put the movie clips together and throw it on youtube. any song ideas for the background music?
    Something by Disturbed haha
Also good luck with all that, should get around to painting that engine cover :P

haha, i think i will haha, i was listening to disturbed whilst working on it, and so were my neighbours haha. not sure which song though, that is what i was saying to my brother, either i was going to take it off and shine the plenum or paint it dark blue. ill probably paint it though. here is as far as i have got today. now all i need is the guards (which will probably be coming tomorrow as i dont think that they will arrive in the next 30 mins, hopefully they get here early mornig so i can have it all done before i go to work, dont really like the idea of driving the swift, but it would be good on petrol though), the loom for the foglights so i can splice them onto the parkers, need some nuts and bolt to fasten the top of the foglight to the bumper and also a nut for the bottom part on each, screws for the flutes to attach to the guard, and last but not least the bottom part of the grille, which i will more then llikely get holden to order in.

    good news and bad news,
bad news- still havent received the guards (angry face)
good news - bought a vt clubby rear bumper, so ill be putting that on when it comes up. also am in the process of buying a pair of vt clubby sideskirts.
also i was going to wire up my foglights today, but i already have the wiring, the last owner had the wires hidden all the way up the radiator so you could ony see them when you jack up the car. so now i dont need to splice, just need to find a foglight button, again.

i also decided to flat black my wheel wells, i think they turned out well. i still need to do the front wells but ill be doing that tomorrow.

haha cheers bud, 68$ for the bottom grille, it looks real nice as well, i am assuming it would clip on easy, it fits really snug where the grille is supposed to go, but the front bumper bar i have doesnt have the clips for it, they have been broken off, but you can still see where the clips belong. i think it was worth the money, considering i couldnt find second hand ones, and the ones on ebay where 60 plus 15 postage haha
    hope that helps

    haha why wait? lol
more bad news, i have called the post office about my guards and they dont know where they are, so this idiot that i have been dealing with had to call the post office and ask them to look for it, because i cant. chances of him doing that are slim considering he does not return/answer my phonecalls or emails. so i will be putting my car back together tomorrow. now i need to try and get my money back, ebay cant forcethem to return money can they? would the department of fair trading be able to do it?
but on a good note, i have also purchased the vt clubby side skirts, so they will be going on on tuesday or wednesday. at least there is something good going for me at the moment lol

unfortunatly not, last time i dont use paypal
but he has finally got in contact with me (sort of anyway) he has sent his mate ,who he shares the ebay account with, the tracking number for the guards, which should be here tomorrow, who in turn sent it to me, i dont think he wants to talk to me (neither would i if i stuffed me around lol). so here is the breaekdown.
the money was transfered on the 12/08
he didnt "ship" the item til the 30/08, so that is 2 weeks he has had my money for.
now after many complaints it was finally shipped for real on the 6/09. a total of 3 weeks after i paid, what a stuff around.
thankfully they are coming tomorrow, this has been the most frustrating part of this little project, and i have received parts from all over oz for this.
also i get my bumperbar and sideskirts on monday or tuesday next week. finally things are coming together
    thanks for reading

Thanks for the heads up. VZ SV6/SS Bumper Removal in the last picture of that, there is 2 of the circled parts stopping me from moving the front bumper off,i'm not to fussed to ask around but yeah, then i could find out where to clip in the lower grill part or paint the grill around the badge, which is black now so it looks wierd, black badge, grey grill then black car haha.i think paypal charges, not much though,it's worth looking into if you purchase stuff online a lot.haha a challenge indeed :P

true i just had a look, i know that ones you are talking about, my ss bar has them as well, why are they stopping you? cant you get to them? the ill bring the lower grille on the cruise, mine wont be going on until i paint the front because i will have to put i there permanantly cause i dont have the clips.its a nice colour combo, did you actually paint the badge or just remove it like most people do? the front grille, you need to take the bumper bar off to get the clips at the back. it will be a challenge, i also get to put my rear bumper on the same day so i can also put that on in the same time frame, me and josh are going to be busy.

I can get to them,i just don't know much about them is all,i've heard the only way to remove them is to destroy it and not so sure about how wise it would be to do that, wanted to paint the grill but once again those things stopping me from removing it completely so i just took the badge out.ah that sucks.will be a rush :P

but at least ill have everything on and it willbe even moe multicoloured. if they are the spinning ones they dont matter, my vt doesnt have them attached (didnt have them attached) and i will probably not be putting them in on the ss front. they only screw into the reinforcement bar. if they are the spinning ones and you want to keep, then you will need to get a flathead in there to help lever them out while you unscrew them.

i dont mind the back so much, but the front leaves much to be desired, im happy with how it turned out, just neeed to fix the little parts that dont sit right (bonnet and the end parts of the bumper) shouldnt be to hard.

it was a lot of stuffing about, but well worth it in the end. got the clubby side skirts coming soon as well. was just going to let it sit for a while and just tidy it up like paint it, remove all the dents and scratches, a kill switch and darkest legal tinting are next on the list after its all neat again. and then ill be able to get back into it. im proud of me to and thi was all done with GENUINE HOLDEN PARTS this front end has parts from nearly every state in australia.
with the paint i was thinking maybe a 2tone scheme, keep the blue as the bottom colour and maybe a silver over the top or just revert back to full blue? ill have to wait til the side skirts come before i try and get some colour chops.

this is my car lowered with about 300kg of potting mix in the boot. just wanted to make sure that i go up the driveway when i lower it.
