    Default My New Daily '02 CV8 6spd

Howdy, thought it was about time to post my new ride. Finally traded in the old 1998 VT Executive (everything was just falling apart and causing too many headaches) and got a 2002 CV8 Monaro, 6spd, Phantom Mica Black.

Pretty much standard, only fitted a K&N filter and mocked up a hidden CAI to the standard airbox. Don't want an OTR and the MCAI thing, well... it IS a Monaro. Previous owner fitted the genuine (not cheap fibreglass) VZ scooped bonnet.

Very nice car, one of the best purchases I've made. Absolutely zero buyers remorse and I've loved every second of it. Sure it needs work but that just means I can make it uniquely mine!

Previous owner didn't treat the car with any respect, I keep noticing things kinda bodgy and find out more and more of things the dealer replaced to get it ready to sell. There's nothing major (I think) mostly cosmetic. Body is straight and only a couple of chips that will be easy to fix.
There was a DVD screen inside so the roof lining has holes in it, and being a Monaro the side pillars are fluffy.... they've stained real easy. I have a friend who is an upholstery so I'm going to get the roof lining and pillars redone in cream pleather. That will depend on how it will affect the SRS side airbags, of course.

Anyway, gonna post more pics of the progress as it happens. Cheers.

    Awesome buy mate congratulations!!

As for retrimming the roof lining and roof pillars, it won't affect the side airbags at all because they are built into the side of the seats, not the pillars! Just don't put car seat covers on it and you'll be sweet!

Not a fan of the wheels. Would prefer stock over those ones.

Should put VT Lights/garnish on it for the concept look

Love the car, hate those bonets though, it looks like it needs to blow it's nose, and I like the VT S2 lights better too.

Altho those ones do the job, they look a bit poo-ish.
