    Default Mick's VX Executive

This is my '02 VX Executive so far. Don't want to go too crazy with the mods just a few customizations and upgrades here and there. Car has only done 81,000km and is in as new condition.

So far I've lowered it and put a set of VZ SS-Z rims on it. Most likely next upgrade will be VY Calais chrome window surrounds and the VX HBD bodykit if I can find one.

VT SS Sedan - Supercharged V6 Auto (Genuine L67 SS)
VN SS Sedan - 5.0L 5 Speed Manual (Currently Balga spec waiting for panel and paint)

Love the rims, love the colour, definitely needs something done to the body of it, and maybe some VX calais tail lights and garnish would look sweet

Thanks, fairly rare colour and reasonably uncommon rims too. I was thinking about a Calais garnish. Also thinking of trying to find a set of chrome outlined grille pieces like you have on your car.

Yeah definitely go the calais garnish, a vx ss kit would look awesome too, with the chrome grills put in there too.

looks good lowered with the rims. Got the same rims on mine.
Just make sure that any kit you get fits exactly otherwise they can be more trouble than they are worth - looks amazing when it works though.

Only thing is I like the effect on the VX executive rear lights better than the VX Berlina rear lights. Its kinda a debate as to if I should do it or not at the moment.

Thanks mate, they're probably among the best rims Holden have made so far. I'm pretty certain the HBD kits fit straight on to the standard front and rear bumper. All they are is a replacement for the black plastic inserts which are body colour and slightly lower.

My plans for the car in 2010 are

    - VY Calais full chrome window surrounds
    - VX Acclaim chrome accented grille inserts
    - VX Berlina cup holder (actually requires entire center console switch)
    - VX Berlina rear passenger reading lights
    - Colour code side skirts and bottom of front and rear bumpers
    - Remove black door strips
    - Climate Control conversion
    - Switch to disable the low speed fan when idling at someone's house talking out the window (sick of the bee drone of the fan)

I would say next would be the cup holder because i have that part sitting here ready.

If your gonna go to the trouble of painting your bumpers you may as well get some decent ones, like some ss ones or something, it will improve the look of your car dramatically. The VX/VX calais chrome window surrounds are a very good option, much better than the thin VT chrome.

I would only need to paint the few inches of black plastic at the bottom of the bumpers. I'm out to enchance what I already have, not transform my car. I want it to still look like an Executive, just a nice executive. The only bodykit I'd be interested in is the HBD kit that was optioned on the Executive/Acclaim. Yeah, I definitely want the full chrome, not the little strip.

    Like this one? http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...n/NEW/new4.jpg

Not a fan of the front personally, but its your car, you can do as you like. Definitely go the calais chrome, look around too, I found my full set for $130 but have seen some go for over $250, well worth it.

Hrmm I didn't see the front when I saw it. I think the one I saw was different though, side skirts look different. I basically saw this car and wanted the body kit minus the spoiler.

I don't like the front in the pic you posted though, if this kit is the same at the front then I won't get it. I know what you mean, one great thing with car parts is how many times you can find great bargains.

Nice car mate, very clean and obviously well looked after. I think you're right too, no need to go over the top with bodykits and such, aka police magnet. I will say, I love the mags.

Thanks mate Unless I can get that one bodykit which was optional on the executive I'm not going to bother. I do need to get mine painted though.

Did your rims fit fine under the rear guards? i am thinking about getting a set of 18inch rims. Whats the ride quality like?

Yeah they fit perfectly. the extra width is all on towards the diff. Ride is a bit bumpy having low profile tyres and SSLs all round but at the end of the day it gives it a bit more of a sportier feel in my opinion.

You can keep the VX executive rearlights with a Berlina garnish if you like, aslong as you keep the refectors in the bumper.
