Love the rims mate!!! I've heard the vy/vz mirrors are a fair bit noisier than the vx, what do you recon?
I may consider doing this soon.

You did it the hard way mate it only takes 5min all you need is a Ratchet with a screwdriver bit and just remove the heater vent in the corner. I found out the hard way after a pretty miserable attempt at reverse parking

Haha, that'd be right, I always manage to do things the hard way. Tis alright tho, at lest I got a glimps of how tedious installing the power windows will be!

In regards to wind noise, I can't tell the difference, I doubt it would make much, if any, difference.

Haha yer that's usually what I do. Yer that would be a pain in the ass of a job! I just did a whole dash swap-out with a vx clubby that was pretty bad

I may invest next time is see one at the wreckers.

Had a bit of an accident a couple of weekends back, and without going into details I now need a new front bumper/left headlight.

I was origianlly just going to replace it with another VX SS bumper, but last night ideas keep rushing into my head and got me thinking. Now I'm kind of thinking a WH Grange Bumper/hood with a WH Caprice Front Grill... This would eliminate the problem of me wanting a little bit of chrome on the front, and would make the car stand out like nothing else...

Any thoughts? I'm thinking it would be a fairly straight forward swap, but if I'm way off could someone please let me know.

    was someone being silly hahaha.

all depends on your budget mate.. if its not a big one then just get replacement parts to make it look the same before you had the woopsy.

haha izzy, what a delightful stitch job there.

caprice/stato front would stand out alot, would it suit the rear and side skirts though?

    @Cameron P, Define Silly, haha :P

    Haha, thanks Dyer...

That's why I would opt for a grange front bar, would tie in nicely with the ss skirts and rear I reckon, and wouldn't look silly with some sporty wheels on there aswell.

No real big updates, but it is getting close to tax time so hopefully that will change soon... Plan is to replace the SS front with another SS front, new exhaust and a set of rims, nothing to sporty, probs a set of VE Calais or Internationals, going for a more classy look with the car now, with a WH Caprice interior in the pipeline for the future, figured if I can't go fast why make it look sporty? May aswell be comfortable.

I had plans of installing a VY/VZ SS steering wheel, but don't like the look/feel of it as much as I thought I would, so will just get a VT/VX leather one down the track. In the meantime the VY/VZ one is just sitting on my kitchen table if anyone wants to buy it, feel free to throw me an offer. :-)

Can't remember exactly mate, got all the bits of the kit separately, Think the front bumper with lights was 400, rear and side skirts were about 100 each, then cost around 700 all up to paint including mirrors IIRC, worth it in the end I reckon, makes it look like a completely different car.

The rear garnish with lights was 150 I think, then another 50 to paint...

Not much to update, got a new front bumper, genuine this time so it fits alot nicer.

Also picked up a new set of rims today as the camber wear on the SS rims was not pretty.

They are 15" BMW rims. I had to find a set that fit 3 criteria, they had to be cheap, have good tread, and not be too far away to pick-up. These were 10 min down the road, pretty reasonable tread, and at a set of 5 for $100 I just couldn't say no, haha. They actually don't look too bad imo, would be good if I could find a holden sticker or something to cover up the BMW symbols...

Any thoughts on the wheels guys??

They're really starting to grow on me, plus the ride is sooo much nice with the bigger tires, which is very nice considering how shitty some of the roads in melbourne are...

yeah, they look badass i recon, they are heaps beefy, and i can imagine how nice they ride compared to larger rims.
