well i've now got the paint, so looks like the first thing to get done to this will be the ugly as hell turtle shell under the hood that the girlfriend wont let me get rid of,,,,,,,,,,grrrrrrr
so instead it is goin to look the way i think that holden should have got them to look like before they left the factory
Very clean man, love the sun visor cd wallet mod =P

this time with a coat of primer- then wet sanded- then re primered- then wet sanded- a coat of white undercoat- wet sanded again and have just put on the first coat of blue
Damn tidy dude, that engine cover should come up mint too.
I should look at doing something like that to the 5L's cover (plus a full deagrease/clean).
Lookin forward to seeing the end result!
Looks great mate! (hey that rhymed!) bad luck on the engine cover, should come up mint after all that work though :P
thanks guys,
after a trip to autobarn, (needed more paint) they actually had someone behind the desk who asked me if i needed any primer, "nah mate i've got plenty at home" his reply was simple yet a massive dull thud at the same time "what, proper plastic adhession primer" ohhh shet
yes i farqed up by thinking i would get away with using a normal primer
so after a shite load of thinners and a new life lesson (always ask if your unsure) it is now on it's way to being done,
hey mate love the colourcant wait to see a pic of the engine cover,
the car looks great love the sound of 8s too![]()
nice ss mate, engine cover will look good once its done, any reason for cutting out the lion?
"A life lived in fear is a life half lived"
simple really, bling is a big thing for me, so i will be filling the gap created by taking the lion out with a vt/vx chrome bonnet badge,
they are a perfect fit and would look alot better in my opinion
looks good, good luck w/ the engine cover, should look good once its done, are you using high heat paint?

thats a really good idea with the badge mate![]()

nah, i have seen that many done with this stuff and they have lasted alot longer than most people would think, besides once all the mods get done that i have in mind but haven't put on the list, there will be no room for an engine cover anyway
going to have a nice metal mountain poking through are you? its going to be good watching this come together

i would like to keep it under the bonnet, but if it pokes through well lets just say i wouldn't complain,
one thing i have been wondering about though, anyone ever seen a set of vt ss replica rims in ohhh i don't know 19" form?
haha i bet you wouldnt lol, cant say i have but they would be pretty good to have, people would be scratching their heads for sure, maybe ebay, or depending on your wallet and wanting, cutom make, but that is expensive.

lol ebay, wait for someone else to get them custom made and then decide they don't like them
i would like to keep it looking stock but with so many custom parts that people look at and think "hmmmm thats standard,,,,,,, isn't it? wait no it's not"
well now that i have seen it done a fair bit,(and think it looks alright) i'm contimplating colour coding the dash facia aswell, now that i have got it sussed as to the best way to do it i was wondering what do you guys think?
is it possable to overdo the whole colour-coded plastics?
Nice ride mate. Sounds like you are having fun with that engine cover ay, haha
