    Lol.
I look at people who DON'T have their car low at all and they crawl over the speed humps.

I think if I drop mine any further I may have to look at getting the exhaust flange moved or tucked up higher as it seems to be the part I hit most now if I go over anything too big.

LSD hasn't rocked up just yet, but that should mean it'll be here this coming week.
I'm a little worried that when I put it in, my transmission will drive me nuts (I think it needs a recondition/shift kit because to me it feels lazy/delayed), but I'll do it and see how it all goes.

Gotta remember to check my tail shaft too.
I've noticed quite a thud on the odd occasion recently where shifting into 2nd (even when not going hard).

Plans for this coming year are:

    Fit up the new LSD.
    Possibly do the transmission.
Paint lower skirting around the car.
Fix heatercore/cooling system and rear demister.
Hopefully fit new front brake discs and calipers.

Mine feels so lazy, when I manually change gears and I literally change, then sometimes count 1-2-3.. bang it's in :P

My mate's Chaser he changes gear and it's straight in there hey...I want mine to do that

    got my diff!!!!
    FKN SCORE!
Can't wait to get it in the car...
Gonna try and get to repco before they shut after work... HOPEFULLY they'll have the oil I need.
Then I might try pop the car on stands tonight and see if I can start doing the change over!

Thought for a bit about painting the diff, but I think I'd be wasting my time/money, would look clean though in all black.

Edit: Just opened the diff and some of the friction modified had spilled.... FK ME that sh*t is potent! Feel all light headed now and I have another hour of work! hahaha

Hi there,i havn't read this full thread but if your tranny is sometimes kicking in after 3 secs then i would be getting it serviced and looked at.While your at it get it shift kitted if not already done as far as getting it remaped to shift harder the 5L go much harder with a really good shift kit installed.Mine is alot better having shift kitted the trans it will cherp anytime i want it to now.

Cheers man, I definitely think the trans needs to be completely overhauled and shift kitted.
    It's done 270,000kms so I'd say it's well due
I'll do it hopefully this year sometime if I can afford it.
Doing little bits at a time when I can afford to. Most of the annoying little problems are out of the way, it's starting to move onto the bigger ones now.

The diff is in, definitely feels smoother, even changing gears feels smoother, feels like the car is lighter, and by that I mean it doesn't feel so like it's trying so hard to get up to speed.
Gonna try find somewhere to sort the speedo tomorrow, anyone in Perth know of someone who can do the 5L's speedo calibration?

I don't know if I'd go as far to say that I'm over the moon with the change, it's nice, it's noticeable but it's not as big as I was expecting after hearing such good reports from people.
Maybe I just need to wear it in a bit more and then when I can start really getting stuck into it see what happens.

Cheers Ant, will look into it when I'm free next.
I've heard of people using a Jaycar speedo kit as well.

Now that the diff is done, I'm probably going to hold off doing much to the car for some time.
Hoping to get myself to Japan later this year and will need to focus my spare cash into the trip. May even consider moving there if I like it.
Wanting a change of pace and to do something different.

Will probably keep the car in storage or something if I do decide to move over there... not sure yet.
May even just get rid of it if it happens, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Thanks stothers, I definitely try and do my best with it.

Even though it's not one of the best examples on this forum, I'm glad people still appreciate it and what I've done so far.

    Cheers

Been pretty quiet with the car the past couple months.
I did an engine oil and filter change on Sunday. Also fitted a new horn as my last one sounded like a sissy and may have been stuffing up.
(no air horns, just standard disc horn replacement).

I've also got some diff oil to go into the diff, just need to get the additive.

Got my airbag light sorted today.
Has been on for the past 6 months after going through that car wash that destroyed my last front bar, was dropping my gf off to pick up her car from a service and asked if they had a tech 2 or whatever it is that could reset it.
They logged in, checked out everything was fine and whalla, no more light!

It's weird driving now without a stupid red thing glaring at you and not making a noise when it starts up :P

This car seems to be getting all sorts of lil bits sorted lately which is good for me whilst I still have it, but better for whoever ends up buying it.

Well guys, the car is no longer mine.
    It's been sold.
Was kind of sad in a way to see it go, but the new owner seemed very happy with it, so I hope he continues to show it love haha.

I don't know when I'll be getting a car next. Have to put a couple of grand away for Japan still. After that I think I'll start looking.

    I would've loved to haha.
I wont have the money to though, I'm in the process of sorting a purchase for a GSXR1000 from a friend of mine (he's spent too much money on his and done all sorts, so I shouldnt have to spend much money on it myself).

Really looking forward to being back on a bike again.
Will look into buying a Toyota Chaser in the next year or so I think
