Nice car mate, Looks really nice!
Just a heads up though, All 4 of your pictures are the same picture, haha!
Looks pretty good in those 4 different stances... :P
Haha oops.. lemme fix that :P
get a full exhaust 5l sound beasty
Looks nice mirkz![]()
Ah that's what I forgot.. I think it has a 'sports exhaust' 2.5" cat back.
would love a full system though to get her louder
I love the VT SS's! Very clean buddy! Looks great, and I agree full exhaust system, bring out the beasty sound in the 5.0lt nothing sounds more sweet on the road!!! ;-)
Blonde Moments are my specialty! But I drive a hot VE SSV
My VE SSV: http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...sv-herluv.html
Very nice mate! Do have to admit I love the white! Looks very well looked after
lovin the color mate they look great in white lol, although i am a little biased. wish i had an ss though they sound so good
Well after not really doing anything to the car since I purchased it because I was unsure what I was going to do with it.
I've decided to buy a full set of springs/shocks and new sway bar link kits.
I ordered the Kings low springs with monroe GT shocks (ebay special), but have since changed my mind and requested that the guy (who thankfully is on holidays so I have time to change my mind), change the order to the Kings Super Lows.
I figure with the SL's I'll certainly notice the difference in height more, and if I'm going to spend the money I may as well do it.
Not sure when I'll have the parts.
Hopefully in the next 3-4 weeks. ( think the guy gets back from hols next week).
Anyway, will update with pics when it's done.
Nice mate! I look forward to seeing the new ride height. I have kings SL's in the rear of mine and standard in front still. I reckon SL rear is that good balance between looking nice and low but not scraping every speed hump. lol
Nice clean example.well done mate.
Thanks for all the comments guys!
I'm hanging for tomorrow and being able to fit all my gear.
Here's a pic of whats to go into the car!
SL springs, Monroe shocks for lowered applications, sway bar links, strut mounts and bearings & rear brake pads
Pretty excited to start working on it, I think I have some more plans for the car but I don't know how soon they'll come to pass.
Just a heads up, all you need for the outside is to change to series 2 taillights, other than that it looks awesome![]()
50LTRv8
Well all the gear's in.
Here's a few pics of the final work, might post the inbetween stuff later.
Much happier with the ride, I noticed a visual drop straight away which I was pleased with.
I've got a little guard rubbing happening, much stiffer ride, handles truckloads better. Well worth the money spent I'd say so far!

Can someone confirm for me if my front bar is the standard front bar for the S1 SS?
I ordered SS fog light bezels from ebay for the VT SS as I don't have any, and it seems they wouldnt fit.
I've just tried to match up on the car how they'd sit etc, and there's a groove under the top lip of the bar where I'd assume one of the tabs go thats on the bezel, but there's no place for a screw to go into etc.
Not sure if I've bought the wrong bit for the car or if the bar requires some modifying to get it to fit or if its a bit of playing around to get the bezel in ???
Looks like the right one, but may be an Commodore S bar which I believe didn't have the Fog Light Bezels?..
Car looks good too man, what are the shocks / struts like, I lowered mine w/o doing the struts and it's like riding around on a brick... A worthwhile investment you reckon?
Any other plans short term?
Ohhh and check out my SS, linky in my signature. :-)

Cheers mate.
Shocks etc are alright, quite a stiff ride still really, but I prefer it that way to be honest. My shocks were knackered before so the car felt like it was about to roll over if I went
through any corner with some momentum.
Short term, hopefully get the bezels painted and in.
might try replace the smashed fog light I have also (still works, glass is just broken).
Possibly a full exhaust system, or get a new drivers seat (a bracket in mine must've collapsed), or full new interior.
but I think I should work on power first.
Not 100% sure what I wanna do, but open to ideas.
Cheers again!
WORD on the White 5.0! Gotta love vt with LOOOOOWWW suspension.
Just a couple more pics, nothing fantastic.
