    Default Macca's VT SS

Went over to Sydney yesterday and traded in my VU S pack
    Name: Zac aka Macca
    Year: 1998
    Model: Series 1 VT SS
    Trans: 5 speed Manual
    Engine: 5.0L
Only current mod is a 2.5" twin cat back exhaust. Hopefully get some extractors on in the future.
Immediate plans are to do the front grille mod that ive seen on this forum with the mesh, and install my sub and amp. Thats all funds will allow atm. LOL
Paint work isnt perfect, but mechanically all seems very good, and other then the standard broken door on the little compartment in the console (front and rear) the interior is flawless

Yeah have got a set of S2 tail lights high on the list of things to get as well as should be getting the clear side indicators this week. K&N filter goes in on sunday as well. Hopefully be able to afford the black Altezza headlights I want in a few weeks as well.
And yeah I love to colour when its clean but as you said mate its bloody hard to keep it that way. haha

Lol even my lighter bermuda blue is a b•••h to keep clean, thankfully I purchased a series 2 so I got the better tail lights and clear side indicators as standard, why they didn't do it to all vts is a mystery though

Just a pic I took yesterday behind Rosehill Racecourse after going to the Street Machine Nationals. Not 100% clear as I didnt have my tripod and it was getting dark, but still an ok shot I think.
Also got my K&N Filter in today, as well as installed my Sub and Amp

Well I just purchased some window tint so gonna give it a shot tinting them myself once it arrives in the post. I got 15% tint and Im just gonna tint it straight over the extremely light tint it has now (I know people dont reccomend this but the tint on it is flawless with no marks and scratches so hopefully it shouldnt be an issue, and wil make it that little bit darker as well lol). Still havent got my series 2 tail lights yet (stupid bills lol) but should also hopefully get my front grille mesh mod done in the next few weeks as well. Will post up some pics after my tint experiment and see how I go!

just makes sure your windows are super super clean b4 applying the tint, if they're not thats when you get bubbles so you really have to spend most the time cleaning them

So Ive decided to have the old tint removed before re-tinting myself. Just so that its all done properly. But hafter the stories ive heard really not keen to remove it myself. Lol. Local place wants $100 to remove the tint on all side windows. Is that a reasonable price you reckon?

Super low springs for the rear should also be arriving tomorrow and be in by the weekend. If i get the springs tomorrow Ill post some up to date pics with the new lights and new ride height this weekend
Still havnt got started on my tint as I just havnt had the time to sit down and do it but Ill get to it. Lol

Should hopefully get it washed and all shiney on thursday night when I have the night off work. Then can get some pics. Got a car cruise to Sydney on saturday so have to have her lookin good. lol. Also ordered some new drivers side rubber belt moulds from Holden today as the old ones had perished a little and gone a bit crappy. Only $60 for brand new genuine ones which I thought wasnt to bad. (Gotta love working in a parts dept and getting stuff for trade prices )

Like the rubber strip that runs along the bottom of the window where the window joins the door. The calais have the chrome ones, thes rest just black rubber. Those things. lol. Funny thing is it was only the drivers side that was a bit perished, so either the passenger side has been replaced before or a previous owner always parked drivers side into the sun. haha
