Haven't been on the forum for a while so I thought I'd post up some pics of my new car. She's a mint condition vx ss with only 84k on the clock. 6 speed.
Picked it up for a great price. Its totally unmolested, the only mod is a cat back exhaust (which is way too quiet). Been a lady's car most of its life. Only on its second set of tyres!
I can't actually drive it yet because I'm still on my P plates. Ony two weeks to go till I get my opens though! Can't wait.

That looks nice man. Very nice pick up!!! As has already been asked, how much did you pick it up for? My gf is currently looking for exactly that, VX SS in white (she wants auto tho) so just curious.

Picked it up for $13g. Most of the other ones I saw advertised on carsales etc had twice as many k's on them and they wanted $15 or $16g's for them. I'm pretty chuffed with it.
As far as mods go, I want to keep it looking as stock as possible on the outside, so no big wheels or lowering. I want to put a towbar and a bullbar on it. Not a huge stupid heavy five poster bullbar, just a small light alloy type. Also I'd really like a better exhaust. I do like thats its quiet and doesn't draw much attention, but if I'm going to drive a v8 then by christ its going to sound like one.
I took it for a little drive and it didn't press me quite as hard back into the seat as I would have liked so I might have to get a tune and do a few little things to the engine to liven it up a little.
And of course the factory stereo will have to go.

Yep, I do plenty of highway miles. The sixth gear will certainly come in handy then. A bull bar might not be the prettiest thing to bolt on the front of a car like this one but it would certainly look a lot better then having a wallaby smashed into the front of it.

can't say i blame ya mate, skippy loves playing chicken on the qld highways, (i used to live in maryborough/ hervey bay area and travlled to 1770 and down your way alot)
yeah i wish i had a manual, especially a 6 speed, but that will come when i find a decent solid car for the girlfriend to use as a daily
