Yeah i wanna get XHP Shorelines in 19" for it. Hopefully 245 wide tyres will fit in the guards ok. They did on my SV6 at the rear anyway. It's currently 16" 225's and breaks traction everywhere (plus its a single spinner haha)

These are the rims i want.. Somewhat common but they look sex on a WH stato: http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...1/P4110040.jpg

Exhaust (headers and cats) is getting done on monday, should have around 450$ left so i'll go get an Alloy OTR (MACE Engineering sell one for $475 or so)..

Then i'll save $750 for a willall mafless tune.......

Then gotta save a whole chunk of cash for rims......

Then maybe a small cam and a centrifugal supercharger or single turbo kit Although the engine has done 113,000KM's so it may be a bit tired for boost?

Atm its got a twin 2.5" exhaust so i'd have to go bigger catback if/when i cam or boost it.

Just looking at the books in the glovebox, the Previous owner who bought the car in 07 took out a warranty that stands until 2011 feb, or 170,000km. haha. Since it's been serviced at that dealership every time i wonder if in the short term that it could protect the car (at least until the next service which i'll do in my driveway haha)

Headers and cats on! Sounds awesome, only problem is i think there may be clearance issues with the headers and tie rods or steering arms as it feels like it's slightly rubbing at a certain point when i turn right.

Exhaust place offered to take a look and order new headers to replace should these be an issue..

Car is to go on my dads hoist tonight at work to have a look at the clearance.

    Little update here....

Headers were fixed, I also had the rear resonator/muffler removed (it's Fsking loud now) (oh, and new, better looking exhaust tips.....)

Car is going in for a OTRCAI and tune by enhanced autmotive this saturday.

Next up will be some new grippier tyres i reckon. I actually want to keep the 16's now but maybe get them widened so i can fit wider tyres on there. It has 225's on at the moment.

Yeah, gained 30kw but feels heaps better, it was a quick car before hand but now it's even better.

I just need to get a LSD in the thing now.

Yea currently on the look out for some wheels, looking at 19"s - After that i'll lower it, it already scrapes on every speedhump if i have 4 people in the car. and occasionally my cats scrape with just me in it.

The rear bumper scrapes if i enter my driveway on the wrong angle too...

Might be time to save for airbags!

OTR cost $like 550 i think, can't remember. all up it was like $1350 for tune and otr, installed and drive away... but i had the ls6 manifold installed at the same time so that brought the cost up a tad. (over $1350 :P)

Bought a cheapie $88 headunit from supercheap today:

    JVC Products Australia : Welcome

Wiring kit, loom adaptors and headunit all up $210 or so....

Forgot to buy the fascia kit so it's kinda dodgy looking, but at least i have my old alpine type r 12" sub in the boot now..

Still running the stock speakers which do okay really, will keep them until i can afford a 2din dvd headunit and speakers + speaker amp.

Really surprised at how the wiring loom adaptors were, one takes the loom from the car and turns it into a universal connector, then i grabbed another one to plug into that for a JVC head unit..... Didnt have to strip/solder any wires it all just worked.

hey man nice stato! brings back memories of my caprice when i first started modding it, mine used to be tungsten and i had the 19in shorelines aswell! they fitted fine on mine with 245/35/19's with ultra lows in the rear and supers in the front so you shouldnt have a problem
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
