Turns out I am getting those rims - VZ SV6 17" rims. 3 real good tyres and 1 thats a bit worn but will still be fine for a while. only 400 bucks so im stoked, will look so much better than hubs!
Hopefully pick them up tmoz![]()
UPDATE!
FINALLY got new wheels! They're nothing special but make a huge improvement over stockies
still needa take off the mudflaps and dump it as its fair 4wd but it looks heaps tougher now!
and burnout spec haha
![]()
looks awesome man, just loose the tow bar (like unclip it not rip the interior apart to get it off) kill the mud flaps and de-badge it, there the only cheap mods i can think of lol
Yeah i was gonna ditch the towbar ages ago but dad told me it was jammed in? but might look into it coz itd be way cleaner!
and yeah mudflaps definately on the cards so should look good![]()
wow dude nice sounding exhaust u got there, also the rims do great things for the look of the car. Any plans for a body kit..?
Thanks mate! im happy with how its turned out.
I was considering a vx/vt s/ss body kit but by the time i buy it and get it resprayed to match it just wont be worth it. the cost of a body kit could be the same as my rims + lowering it so i couldn't justify it. But they do looks nice haha. Nice car too man
Looks mint man!
good work![]()
Thanks mate, ended up getting sv6's anyway haha!
I'l [I]probably/I] lower it next. I dont want it too low but i think it does sit to high coz of the wheels. It actually isnt that high on stock springs but still needs to be a bit lower
And then that'l basically be it for big mods. I'm sure small things will come up but nothing too big.
what are you thinking mate?
Yeh a bit lower would suit the car really nicely i think maybe even something like FE2 might be the go..? Ann yeh small things always come up lol and usually turn into big things, once u catch modifying fever its hard to get rid of itI'l [I]probably/I] lower it next. If i were you i would maybe look into spraying the black parts of the bumper and the side skirts to the same colour of the car, would give i a nice look i reckon. But its not the cheapest exercise lol.what are you thinking mate?
Other than that you have a nice tidy car that will last a long time if you take good care of her![]()
Haha i actually meant what are your plans!
Yeah i have considered colour coding the bumpers. My cousin has a contact who can do cheap spraying supposedly so might look into it, but i'l be lowering it first to see how it looks.
Im also looking at getting a mace memcal. That'l most likely happen before lowering as a nice fix up for my engine. I run duel fuel and i think its only good getting a petrol one, but oh well itl make my petrol runs nice and smoothe![]()
Haha sorry mate thought u meant urself. Aw having contacts in that area is gunna come in so handy lol. And the memcal should be sweetlove all of maces gear.
As for my plans im going to pickup my Vx SS kit on Saturday, picked up the side skirts rear bar and spoiler for around $300, pretty stoked with that
Thats a good as deal, be happy with that ey!
Good luck with it mate![]()
car looks sweet dude, i see that the berlina garnish would look real nice with that paint work.

Well I bought the memcal from MACE engineering and it arrived last week.
Put it in tonight and can defs notice a difference in the power/throttle.
Also, with lpg at around 2300rpm it 'chugs' a bit, more up hills, but i've noticed its gotten alot less.
its still there but defiantly better.
a good investment in my opinion![]()
good stuff, i might have to look at buying one of these just to give the Berlina a bit more kick haha. how much did it set you back? easy to install?

Yeah I think it did make a difference, not just my imagination.
was $145 to my door (hope mace dont ring my neck for saying that)
and yeah quite easy actually. bit fiddly as i was kinda making it up as i went. but i have basic instructions which helped.
just need torx t25 and t15 screwdrivers to access the pcm
Hey mate car looks frkn awesmoe![]()

cheers man.just took a look at yours and its got lots of potential too.
please god change the tail lights or lose the garnish though haha looks horrid :P
will look sweet when a few things are done![]()
nice car dude, its coming along pretty nice
i'm on my L's aswell, it sucks balls, when it just has to sit there and walk past it every day, like big time haha
Thanks champ im happy
yeah i know, kills me especially now that a few of my mates have their P's, but im like 22 days till i go for it so not too long![]()
What i've been told is it remaps the shift points and fuel injection a bit, improved fuel economy and makes more power, and better throttle response etc.
those sort of things.
Results would vary but on both petrol and lpg i can feel a bit of a difference in general driving.
sorry to say but im fairly sure its for VT and older, but look into a vx equivilent
gave it a real good scrub and shine yesterday and thought i'd take my sisters slr out and try and take some good pics.
They actually worked out pretty good for a rookie. these are a couple of the good ones, plus a weird one of the lighting haha. bit hard to see because they're small but enjoy
