Vt commodore first car
Hi everyone thought id put up a thread of my first car. Being an apprentice money is scarce so i try and save money here and there by doing most things myself. Im just after a nice cruiser as its only a 6. The specs are as follows
Ride: VT commodore
Engine: V6 ecotec
Power: Not alot haha
Exhaust: Factory except rear end of pipe replaced with a straight though piece
Bodykit: Vx ss front bar with genuine vx ss fogies
vt ss rear bar
vy acclaim side skirts
Rims: 18 inch koya hyper chrome with 235/40/r18 tyres (unfortanetly last owner couldnt park to well)
Stereo: Alpine headunit, fusion powerplant splits fronts, fusion powerplant speakers rear, 2 alpine type R subs, 2 alpine v 12 monoblocks, soundstream 8 farad capacitor
Suspension: New monroe gt gas struts and eibach front springs, New ultima shortened shocks rear with kings lows
Interior: Standard except for painted dash and suade armrests
Other mods: K & N filter, bosch ignition leads, vx ss headlight mod, white led parkers and number plate lights
Future mods:
Paint rims gloss black
few bolt on mods from mace DONE
lowered more with camber kit
vx rear garnish DONE
all white headlight bulbs

is it and s pac? or just a base model?!
Just a base model unfortanetlyive done my best to keep it lookin as clean as possible. I hate ricey cars
nothing wrong with a base model for a first car!

Think im gettin 1:98 rockers just want to no if they will hurt my engine at all and if they are actually worth it?
form memory the stealth roller rockers give more power so you should look them up
and apparently they give you about 20-25kw's
Chop of my car with black rims. Seriously considering it as it will get rid of the gutter rash on the rims and i rekon it looks pretty sweet. Opinions?
Update! purchased a set of mace 1:9:1 roller rockers. Will be puttin them in as soon as they arrive. Looking forward to seeing the difference they make.
would be interesting, might get a set for myself =D
Well ill be sure to put up how they perform once i get them installed

Yer i was going to go with the 1.98.1 but ive heard mixed reactions that they may cause damage to the engine over time so i though id just play it safe and go for the 1.9.1's. Haha ill probably get them in and wish id went for the larger of the 2

Sweet looking VT, I wanted white too but I got a good deal I couldnt say no to.
Let me know how the 1:9:1 rockers go, just ordered a set myself today but probably wont fit them for a month or so.

Yer well i dont get home for another week since im at tafe so hopefully ill get time to put em in when i get home. Update also got a 12mm plenum spacer and going to get the 25mm manifold spacer all from mace.
Update. Installed my rockers and plenum and manifold spacers. Also bought a memcal tune not sure if this will help but im hoping it may just make the sluggish auto box shifts a tad better haha
