S2 VT Calais

Heres some pics and info about my series 2 Vt. Its actually a berlina but the previous owner went to the trouble of badging it completely as a calais. (even has calais badge above glove box). So i just call it a calais to save people the confusion haha. Will get some pics of the interior up soon.

Only had the car about 3 months now. Books say it was purchased from factory by the nsw police force which is pretty interesting. Progress has been slow so far as i havent had the car too long, with only a few mods. But theres going to be plenty of $$$ going into it pretty soon. Hope you like (Y)

SPECS
Engine: 5.7ltr LS1.
Interior: Fully optioned interior / dash with velour trim
KMS: 180,000. Which is bang on the average for its age. (Y)
Make: VT berlina Series 2.
Year: 2000
Paint: Metallic black.
Wheels: 19x8.5 speedy cheetahs staggered.
Diff: Open wheeler :'( needs LSD asap.
Purchase price: $9200

MODS
Speedy Cheetahs 19X8.5 staggered
2.5" twin Exhaust
Pioneer head unit / DVD player
Removed the cubsport wing it had. Filled holes with grommets. (need to get em filled)
Rolled gaurds and cut up rear gaurds to fit the 9.5"s underneath them. (had a super bad rubbing problem)


Future Plans
Buying new 6.5" speakers for all 4 doors
Twin 12" subs waiting to be installed in the boot
Already have Pioneer head unit with 7' dvd screen installed
full twin 3" exhaust replacing current.
Stage 2 shift kit going in.
Ls1 edit tune after installing new exhaust
OTR intake (Want to see if its possible to get the LS2 OTR growler with the twin pods on an ls1 anyone know if its doable?)
MAFless tune after OTR
Much much more but i dont want to ramble. Ill keep updating the thread as i spend the $$.

Yea im not 100% on the body kit. I think its been fitted aftermarket cos it doesnt sit right.
I was going to completely debadge it including the gen 3 badges. but the calais cursive goes well with the wheels and chrome trim so i decided to keep it as is. The body is as i want it, minus the boot holes and a few scratches. But im not doing anything else to the outside except a sunroof. Vented bonnet and a clubby kit wouldnt go with the look im going for.
Might still end up taking off the holden, s2 and gen3 ones tho.
