haha i forgot to say its got 69,000kms and i picked it up for 11k.
ive got 10k saved for mods and ive also got 6 weeks of payed leave ahead of me haha, so the build should move quickly

yeah man im in love. coming from a owning a ford haha.
the old man was a strict ford man, had a BA XR6 turbo ute he loved with a passion.
then all of a sudden i came home from work and a VUII Maloo was sitting on my front lawn lol.
ever since then ive wanted an LS1, and i picked this one up cheap.
only thing is i know #### all about them, i know an exhaust/OTR/tune/cam is a good start though? then 3.9 diff gears?

Yeah mate that is a good place to start and no2 is a good bang for buck mods a standard ls1 bottom end can handle a 100-150hp shot of nitrous without a drama

prioritys now are some tint and private plates to tidy it up a bit, should be happening this week.
after christmas im going to order some 20 inch zenetti kaotiks in black and some superlows/shocks, should look horn.
then get to work on the exhaust, right now it sounds like a family sedan, not a V8

can someone recommend me a decent exhaust for an LS1?
most of my mates say "you should have got a 5ltr if you want a decent sounding V8 blah blah blah"
im just after an exhaust that sounds tough as nails, deep and throaty, doesnt have to be loud

I have HM Headers 4 into 1's and a 2 1/2" twin system dude and it sounds pretty good if u want we can meet up some time and u can see wat u think it sounds like

love the car man 11k dam just makes me want a vx ss more.....theres one for sale on our street thats black with that same red leather interior and its manual (hard to find) going for $13400 should I least consider it?

yeah 11k, i bought it off an old south african couple that had owned it since knew. it was her car as well :P
in the last 2 1/2 years it had done 4000kms lol.

i wasnt going to get a vx ss, my dad convinced me that a vy ss would be a better purchase, but i always liked the look of a vx ss that was on my street, red dumped on black 19s with no spoiler. i wanted a black one though because they look tougher haha. when this came up i went at viewed it as early as i could, and bought it within 5 minutes of looking at it.
at the end of the day im sure your parents have told you owning a car is a responsibilty and blah blah blah but at the end of the day its your money, and i sure as hell wouldnt spend my money on a car i didnt want. for ages i wanted a XR6 turbo but then i decided agaisnt it because well, id always say to myself why the hell didnt i get an 8 haha. buy what makes you happy, but beware that insurance companies wont touch you.
4000ks! jesus. heres the thing if i get the s pack im going to have little thing in my head thats gonna keeping saying why didnt u get the ss? thats what im worried about love ur vx cant stop looking at it

you wont regret getting one with the red leather though i love it
just remember an 8 will end up being an expensive outlay and you have to be prepared to pay it
