hey guys been around just commodores for awhile and havnt got around to posting my half finished ride until now, enjoy

Model: 1998 S1 VT acclaim

ENGINE: 3.8l ecotech

TRANSMISSION: 4speed Auto

Exterior mods:
lowered on kings sl all round
darkest legal tint
vx rear garnish and black tail lights
vx ss body kit (havnt got side skirts yet)
vx ss head lights

Wheels
18" vx gts wheels powder coated grey

interior mods
silver painted dash surround and air vents
12" clarion amp and sub
pair of 6"and 6-9"s in the parcel shelf ran off of 4 channel sony amp
assorted neons in footwells
pulsing neons next to sub
red tacho background

performance
2.5" sports exaust, chrome oval tip

future mods:
fog lights DONE
remove rubber door moulds
vx ss side skirts
debadge boot DONE
possible manual conversion (if price is right)

have you checked the wreckers for fogggies? it'll look soooo clean without trolley strips.

yea mate had a bit of a look around the local area but being from bendigo there arnt many options around the area, yea im hating the strips too, just dont trust myself removing them. going to see how much a couple panel beaters will charge to do it.

yea read that one mate but a few of the guys who replied said that they did it exactly as the guide said but still stuffed their paint... it seems its just luck from how well the strips were glued to each individual car.

A few things, yeah the foglights for sure, i'd probably get different rims, maybe 19"s?
And also, were you gonna take the black protector strip off?
After debadge it'll look wicked, good job.

yea mate rims are on the eventual cards, just not the priority atm. yea getting rid off the black strip and debadging are next to come

with the fog light installation, go to the wreckers and ask for the same colour dash but the ss version. So it comes with a button. Big help, i went no genuine foggies though..costed me 90 brand new from a wrecker

90 sounds pretty cheap mate, were they hard to fit in the bumper, cause ive heard a few guys say they dont mount properly... could you give me the brand name mate so i can be sure.

just out of curiosity... i am planning to buy the clarion sub/amp that you have, what do you honestly think of it? give out a good low bass note or could be better? i also want your rims... jealous haha

thx mate cars are a never ending projects. i picked them up second hand for 600 with tyres mate... saw a set on ebay that sold for 200 so if ya keep an eye on ebay and ya never know

yeah ive been looking out for them for a while
actually looking at a set on ebay pretty close to me ,and it ends tomorrow so i might go check them out

Na my foggies fitted great. Very happy with em, only difference to genuine is that they dont have the SS logo on them

cheers for the positive comments guys, just inspires me to keep workn at it... i bought the bumpers seperatly over ebay the rear bar was 150 and the front was 100ish i think just lookn for the side skirts now... could you tell me what brand ya foggies were mate, would really help

They didnt have a brand on them, wrecker ordered them in for me. He sells them online i believe
