car got a full service the other day, running amazing now!
so i'm thinking of getting some sort of black rims, vx gts, or cv8 rims.
what do we all think would be the best of those?

also will be painting my air vents and interior handles this weekend chrome, hopefully should come out good

any other mods you guys would recommend?

i almost bought a set of 20inch gts black rims from melb (im from sydney) for $2000 give or take delivered with tyres

so just try find some aftermarket ones and buy the hsv centre caps... my mate bought some from a place for $5 each

might be hard to find all this stuff... but worth it!!!

Tidy ride mate. That's a nice boot setup too.

I recon ve ssv's would be a better choice. the sharp edges of the whels would conteract the roudness of the car.

Everything just looks to round with the gts wheels.

    looks good!

I'd love to do this with my car too, but I think I want to swap out the door skins first and put black ones in.

VX SS rims look really nice on VT/VX, I'd have a set if I didn't love 15's so much

Clean looking VX, Id suggest a rear camber kit though. Your tyres look like they are going to wear out pretty fast just from looking at the pics..

2DIE; how much will that set me back? and from where?

mirkz; it's wayyy easy to do, just paint them and when you get your new door skins the handles will still be the same yeah?

again, what would be some good shockers (or short shockers) for the car, for a decent price.

    cheers

Lots of info about camber kits for VT/VX on the forums, about $200 max if you do the work yourself then take it to a shop to get an alignment.

Superpro ones from ebay seem to be what most people are using.

Commodore rear Camber Kit Super Pro VP VS VT VX VY VZ (eBay item 150569615671 end time 29-Mar-11 17:13:57 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats

Thats just an example, you could probably find some cheaper. There is also a thread somewhere how to do it.

thanks 2DIE, will have to look into it!

and vx appeal, i'll look at it tonight and get back to you, looks good, but the grit of sandpaper i used was too harsh, probably doesn't even need to be sanded back tbh.

yeah cheers rich, just wish the ss rims weren't 17's and were 18's or 19's instead!

jake-26, not exactly sure what springs are in the car as they came with it, will have a look tomorrow and get back to you asap. but yeah with the standard shockers the ride at the moment is shocking. *excuse the pun*, but yeah the rear shocks are alright but the front.. when i go over an average speed hump it feels like the car has been dropped from a meter high given the way it bottoms out, hopefully get new ones this week!

Last night all my interior lights all went out, so today went to autobarn, got the 10A fuse for the interior illumination and fixed it all up.

Also, got my LED strips for my footwells today, got the switch to go with it and will be soldering it all up tomorrow arvo, should come out awesome.

Just wondering now where I would find the chrome strip that sits on the rear garnish like on the calais'?

    Went to pick-a-part today, got a view things and am in the process of spraying them all chrome, including handbrake button, auto shifter, door handles again as I wasn't overly happy with them, air vents and dash surround, here is the photo of them being sprayed;

Also went ahead and started on my footwells, so far just done the passenger side but the driver's side will be completed tomorrow arvo!
And another photo to show the difference between the new LED's and the old shitty globe that was in there Loving it.
