Driving home and after getting out, realising somewhere along the highway I have lost one of my centre caps... Shits me to tears!

    Unhappy

Trying to take the cover off but seem to be stuck.

    What have I missed??? lol

As you can see from the image of where I am up too.

What I have done so far:

    • Removed maf and hoses up to the throttle body.
    • Removed ignition leads and clips.
    • Removed nut to move dipstick out of the way.

When I try to pull it off, it seems to get stuck under the throttle body or under the coil packs. Do I need to remove one to get this thing off.

Edit: Managed to find a online thing that told me how to do it. Did that at the same time So another job complete

Mace CAI and Thermostat arrived yesterday, so since it has been raining the for the last 4 days straight and with nothing else to do, I installed both of them.

mine was the 2 1/2 X force twin system, sounds nice but mine had a horrible crackle over 4,000rpm only with the hi-flo cats in I think mine had a dodgy resonator because it was only at high back pressure when It was loud as soon as I put the stock cats back it I couldn't hear it until it hit like 5,500rpm and I only just could notice it but I would buy something similar to this. The L76 Calais have a twin cat just like the LS1's so any LS1 exhaust will be fine.

Yea, sounds good. Iv just got to put it in to get serviced on Friday because it has been running rough for awhile. The CAI has made a great difference in throttle response and my fuel economy. Stupid transmission is giving me issues of late.

Yesterday I bought weather guards for my windows, bonnet protector and the replacement centre cap. Put on the bonnet protector yesterday afternoon, a lot easier then I was expecting. Looks decent enough but more for protection where I am now with country roads and road trains lol

Has anyone used the MSD ignition coils on their engines, anyone found any improvements over the stock GM parts?

Edit: I went to autobarn and they wanted to charge me $100 for each coil tower, yeah no thanks when I have seen in cheaper online .....
