Im new to the forums so sorry if this is in the wrong place but just wanted to introduce my VT. Its not much compared to other cars on here but I love it and hope to improve it in the future! its a 98 VT

Planning:
darkest legal tint
swap rear chrome monaro lights for black
black monaro (or angel eye) headlights
clear side indicators (on order)
paint repair on rear
Monaro red/black lookalike interior
LED headlight strips
Black mesh behind grille opening
Black faux leather roof lining

Nice looking VT Jess! Dont be to modest, it looks very tidy!
Bodykit suits it well and I like how the front grill looks. Those rims suit the car well too.

love the look jess its really tidy indeed...like the black mirrors aswell its different : ) Welcome to the boards and what i think is one of the nicest models..the VT ; )
Id change the headlights first would set the car of fantastic!!

Nice ride Jess, you should spray the mirrors the same colour as the car, and get some new head lights, has it got any non cosmetic mods like an exhaust sytem?

What headlights would you guys suggest? I havent really thought about them. I dont think I will change the mirrors just yet, I like the black because it blends with the wheels but I might change my mind in the future
It does have some sort of exhaust system, though not as loud as I would like. No other non-cosmetic mods at the moment, I would have like them but I fell in love with the car before I even seen the price and when I found out he only wanted $3500 it sealed the deal. I expected a few mechanical issues for that price but it has run like a dream. He even put a new battery in after we agreed on the price (found the dated receipt in the car and battery is new) and diddnt charge extra for it. I want to work on it a bit more and would LOVE a sound system but have to wait until I finish uni. Even when I buy back my beloved Alfa 156, Im keeping this car and get it perfect. I think I agree though, headlights first.....

Nice car. Just use a cut and polish for your lights, will clean them right up. The only other exteral mod i would do is clear side indicators.

mirrors are base model ones, get some black monaro headlights

and clear side indicators are like $30 max for a set on ebay

nice looking car id change those chrome tail lights 2 black tho, would look awesome black, iv always admired the red monaro's with the black lights so your vt would look great with them..

Hey, yeah I would love to get the black monaro tail lights and the matching headlights. I have the clear indicator lights on order at the moment Im hoping I can find someone who wants the chrome rear lights to swap with them, but my birthday is coming up so you never know

definately monaro headlights jess it would look fantastic for sure lol be good if ya could swap the taillights ya never know on here someone might swap/buy those of ya..+1 for the mags aswell perfect choice for this car!!

yep, sting red. LOVE that colour! if you look at the picture of the rear of the car there is one spot where the pain has flaked off a little, Im trying to work out how to repair it properly.

go to a panel beater and get it quoted.. would just paint that section and blend it in

Im thinking about fixing up the old tint, it wasnt done very good the first time so needs updating, probably go darker I think. Also just noticed the inside roof lining is starting to droop slightly and I know from my dads old VN what that means.... I was thinking of getting it redone in black fake leather (not wasting real leather on a roof ) lol has anyone ever got these things done? are they pricey?

I got my tint done through solartint for about $300 jess and lifetime gaurantee cant beat that..as for the roof lining not sure..i know theres a lad here in canberra who can do it if ya had the free time can give him a buzz and get a rough price for ya so ya have something to go by?

Also i think the black taillights aswell like jonesy said suits the rest of the car and matches the mirrors too : )
