nice stato mate i have the same issue on mine with the cliping of the guards
As soon as that happened I took the car straight back and demanded that they put the right size tyres on it. They told me that 245/40R19 was the correct size for a WH but a mate told me that those tyres are for a VE commodore. Luckly they did exchange the tyres but still, I ended up the a damaged guard. But its all good now. I have already bought the door moulds, chrome stripes and caprice exterior door handles and the front badge genuine from holden. Just need to save up a bit more to take it to the pannel beater so he can paint everything, fix the guard (or replace), and fit everything.
Might put up a new thread of my VS Berlina with the mods and everything.
I haven't put up any pics for a while or updated this thread, so I thought its about time.
Sorry, the car wasn't very clean when I took this photo.
This is how she sits on the stock 16's
And is is how she sits on the VY Signature 19's
Update: Well theres not too much going on at the moment, haven't been able to put the chrome strips, door moulds or anything like that on yet because I haven't had the money to do it, plus I bought the L67 motor for my VS and that set me back a fair bit.
As you may know, I like to keep my cars looking immaculate and always at there best. Last week was the last week of work for me and now i'm on holidays. Anyway, I decided I would take my Statesman to work on Friday, and when I got to work, I parked it away from all the other cars that were around work. By lunch time, I noticed there was a red van parked in front of me and I didn't think anything of it. When I went to leave work, the van was gone and I got in my car, parked it at the petrol pumps at work to fill it up, went inside to say cya to everyone, came out and noticed that the careless ******** backed into the front of my car, push the number plate in and damaged the front bumper bar. Ok now 1. I just bought brand new slimline number plates for it $80 (I think), 2. I just put brand new fog lights (genuine from holden $150ea), the bumper was broken where the white paint meets the grey paint right next to the L/H/F fog light. I sucks because I don't know whos van it was that parked in front of me. It just really annoys me when no-one cares about something that they don't own so they don't care if they damage it. Anyway, I guess thats more money I have to pay when I take the car to the pannel beater whenever I can afford it.
Anyway, let me know what you think of the photo, I took it about 2 weeks ago and haven't had a chance to upload it until now![]()

i went out in Ballarat once, my mate got in a fight with the scraggliest chick ive ever seen, because apperently we pushed in front of her and displayed male dominance or some shit.
seriously took like 2 of us to hold her back, never going out in the Rat again.
Hahaha so good

I remember the local talent being above average though and slaying a few of the locals![]()
Hey mate, thanks for the commentthe sigs do look nice on the car especially in real life. I got a price on 4 brand new ones from Holden and they wanted $1000+GST each, so I ended up getting them from a place in Melbourne (brand new) $2330 inc GST for all 4 and they came with the centre caps, wheel nuts, and wheel nut covers. But I still had to get the tyres separately. I also ended up using the original WH Statesman chrome wheel nut covers, they look heaps better.
Yeah that sounds like someone that would live in Ballarat haha.
I remember once when I first got my P-Plates and I was in Ballarat, I wanted to use an ATM, so I drove past the commonwealth bank and was looking for a parking. Anyway I saw a guy sitting next to the ATM so I decided to wait a minute to see if he would go away, next thing I look over and his walking towards me, and he came up to the drivers window at my car, so I opened it a little bit, and he asked me if I had any money because he didn't have a home and no where to stay.... and I didn't have any money on me, hence why I wanted to use the ATM. And as soon as I said "No, sorry I don't" he walked to the front of car and knocked the badge/hood ornament on my Statesman and then he walked away really fast. But I could tell when he looked at me that he was on drugs, I could see it in his eyes.
But while that was happening I thought he was going to try and steal my car. But as he walked over I discreetly locked the doors and I didn't opened the window very much so he couldn't try anything.
Never went back to that ATM again. Now I go to one thats closer to home haha.
fark that haha, yeah that was the first and only time ive been to ballarat haha, went with a few mates that were from there. not sure if ill go back haha
yeah melbourne is pretty mad, used to go there every weekend with the boys and waste all our money.
clubs are pretty hectic though, getting started on every 5 mins by groups of males of mediterranean descent.
UPDATE: I bought the genuine stainless steel door scuff plates from Holden and put them on, they look heaps better in real life then in the pics.
Front scuff plate.
Rear scuff plate.

I've been thinking about getting some of those. Whats the $?
Yeah they are worth it, make it look heaps better. Can't remember the exact cost but I think the front was around $60 each and the rear $40 each or something like that. Holden had to put one of the front ones on back order so it took about a month to get. Only thing with the price is that where I work, I get discounts when buying genuine parts from any car dealer so if you go to Holden, you might get charged a little bit more, but shouldn't be too much more.
O wow, so getting them
They look great mate
