Before even getting the car I got these babys for my birthday which suffice to say went on pretty dang quick :P

Not long after my first purchases from eBay started arriving, I installed the LED sticks into each footwell, linked up to a rocker switch which i put into the DIN pocket under my HU. I apologize for camera wobble.. better photos coming up

    The newly installed footwell switch

Then the parkers...(boring I know but still good to show everything i suppose)

Next up I got around to painting all the interior handles in satin silver which in my opinion looks great for a cheap mod.

The car by this stage was now tinted in 35% with a bit darker on the rear. Had also installed my sony splits with no dramas. Notice the slight dent in back of car near fuel cap do you think this would be easy to just bang out?

Got around to FINALLY installing my VY SS pedals which i found the accelerator to be a royal prick to install but got there eventaully... Also managed to convert all the rest of my lights to blue whilst turning the indicators on dash red (no hotspots in real life just my crappy mobile camera) Also managed to score some free chrome mats from my girlfriends dad who didnt want them!

Some will approve of this most will not but this is my new snazzy P.A system that also has sirens!! A bit of fun when you want to say hi to people down the street

Today finally completed the painting of my ecotech cover and the knuts, i think it turned out alright...

And that brings us to present, finally all up to date! Pics of car coming!

    hey mate, good starter base.

colour code the black bits on the bottom, tear off the trolley strips, take all the badges off. cheap mods that will improve the looks!

then get it tucking a set of 19's and you are set.

If it isnt tuckin, it must be suckin

Cheers mate for the good pointers.

Colourcoding those bits would be nice just need to come into a bit of money as getting them done would be quite pricey I imagine, unless I found a vx ss body kit cheap on ebay or something instead.

Re: trolley strips you reckon just take em off or have em colour matched to, does it look alright with the indentation left, and i presume it should have perfectly fine paint underneath?

Debadge isnt a bad idea actually given that I'm already missing the E from my commodore on the rear end, just made it look a bit tidyer i guess.

Been searching for some rims but dont come across cheapys that often but will get there!

i wouldnt say too much, maybe $600-$700? a few blokes have done it themselves, will just be a pain to match the colour. white would be easier lol.

either way, colour coding you can get done at the panel beaters if you colour code the strips, taking them off requires a caramel wheel and a few other bits and pieces, and a lot of patience. would be easier to let a panel beater have a crack, but if your the DIY type a few people have done it on here. cleans the car up a lot.

my panel beater did my badges for free so i was like meh lol, but if you want to do it yourself itll take 5 minutes, just need a hairdryer, fishing line and some polish.

sets of the ultimate VT/VX rim (VE SSV's) come up often for less then $1000, they look awesome. probably my favourite rim for this shape, and will look tops with some SSL springs.

Nice start you have there with the mods you have done to your ride.

I agree the accelerator pedal upgrade is a real bitch, but it feels worth it knowing you did it yourself!

Thanks lad, Going to get onto that dint asap, also got a tiny bit of paint on the opposite side that needs to be fixed up (will get a photo up at later stage) basically 2 seperate areas where the paint has gone back to metal less than half a 5c coin each and then they have used the gold paint over a tiny bit. However really obvious and much shallower than rest of paint, doesnt have clear etc... Dont know if i could fix myself or not worth it.

Rims are something I want desperately and would totally set the tint off!

Still looking for a set of mega cheap wheels but none have turned up..

Small update but an update none the less as have done nothing in the last few months...

Decided today to repaint door handles as the paint was starting to come off especially on the back, so thought while I was at it I would also paint the air vents and the door scuff pads, looks great I reckon came up a treat!

    Photos tomorow...

Heres pics cant see too well but ah well.. notice the door sills now painted silver, also cant really see but air vents are also.. Makes me think now painting dash also would make it all look mint but unsure ...also reckon the black interior from vx(?) around the plastics would suit much better than the grey although couldnt find any sets on ebay..

    excuse the mess..

also been pondering retrimming the fabric sections in doors with a mesh fabric like my seat covers in the silver colour (repco carbon fibre ones)
