Looks good mate, I really think you should swap the rear lights back to the factory ones though. And why not get some MACE gear instead of a bodykit and quarter panels?

Haha I absolutely hate the factory lights they will sit in the shed collecting dust for a long time to come. And yeah fair call with the MACE gear I'll take that into consideration and toss the two around but honestly never thought of it before because I liked the look of the body kit and quarter panels and was I like I have to have them...

Cheers i must be the only 1 on here who likes the altezza chrome lights but fair call i did look the black LEDs but ended up with this ones.

And yeah just has the twin 2.5" cat back system it sounds awesome just idling and gives a big note when accelerating. Depending on you ride I would suggest this system even in 3" and possibly even a lukey system my brother's VS ute has this in 2.5" and not much differences in sound to mine but also for that added grunt and sound I'm putting in some pacemaker extractor's in the next month or so to give the car that extra note.

Good Luck with your ride mate let's us know what you end up doing.

So in updating on the action I have now decided to sell the SS spoiler and I'm buying a clubsport spoiler instead, also will be purchasing some chrome SS headlights all in the next week or two.

What do you guys reckon about these new features?

I would not recommend a 3" system on a 6 lol. 2.5" is pushing it

Haha 3" tip isn't pushing it I probably didn't word it right but that was the intention.

I think you'll be the minority with liking the chrome tail lights on here mate, clean ride anyhow.
Can I make a suggestion? Don't go for the Clubsport kit. You'd be much better off spending the
money on a decent sound system or a set of SL king springs and new shocks, that's just my opinion tho.

I will be getting a good sound system and bags down the track so got them areas already cemented down and with the clubsport kit I want to phat'n the car up and the clubsport looks alright on the cars I've seen.

And yes I think I've only seen a few who like the chrome but I'm more for shiny things so the darker tails didn't float my boat but I take being a minority

Advise with bags- you get what you pay for. Budget double what you think you will need.

10k for a basic engineered set up, sky's the limit for the more intense stuff.

So with that said what's you opinion on whether I should get the bags before my V8 is put in or after the 8's in?

Easier said then done considering the only car/V8 I will be getting after the VX is a HSV GTS VE SIII all $80 000 worth that is once I finish uni (don't ask what I'm doing) so in the me time I'm just chewing cash with the VX and in saying that with the 8 I have an 8 sitting the shed (free thanks dad) and only reason it's not in the VX yet is cause I've still got another year to go on P2 license

Either way, it'll cost 20-30k for the mods you've mentioned for a car that will be worth less then 10 when you've finished.

Yeah and 20-30k gonna leave me with a beast of a car both in performance and looks and when I get the GTS this car is going to sit next to it in the shed and will for years and years and eventually that car will have paid for it's self over the years. I don't ever plan on selling/trying to make a profit it's just a car I love and will love for as long as I'm around it's gonna be my vintage pride that I built up, that one thing I'll always have sitting in the shed even when I'm ancient

Update: ended up having some spare time on the weekend so I removed my trolley stripes and de badged the V6's, also removed my mud guards and painted the engine cover black, just some little things that make it look a whole better

So by popular demand my Altezza lights went so stocky's back on I forgot what they look like but was happy with the look

(Mind the car cover birds tend to love leaving me surprises whenever I remove the car from the safety of the shed to the less so reliable car port lol)

New pictures will be up of the new ride height (ssl's) and the new brake set up (brembo) on the slotted rotors just waiting to find a decent spot..
