hey people...this is my VU SS








Its a 6 speed LS1 with a redback catback, have OTR, 4-1 pacemakers and decats to go in once I have taken the car through ID inspection

Has some other stuff like leather, a nice pioneer stereo, lovells lowered springs (its fairly decked) and my new wheels which went on saturday

the wheels are BBS LM replicas 19x8.5 and 19x9.5

Bloody Nice Ute mate.. the VU's are such a unique looking utility. Those wheels suit a treat!

Looks great mate I've always wanted a VU ute, basically dream car. Only thing I am not keen on is the tail lights, I think black, rather than chrome would be better, just my opinion. Otherwise you have my dream car, you bastard :P

Mirroring these blokes! Tailights are a bit interesting, but i LOVE the black VU SS, i want one SO bad. The manual and leather tops it, awesome ute.

Edit* - A black hardlid, from like a thunder would be even awesomer.

sorry mate I should have stated...those tail lights came with the car and I absolutely ####ing hate them...tomorrow im ordering VZ SS lights to replace them...then im going to remove the shit altezzas from the car and pump .243 rounds into them

apart from the OTR, extractors and a tune im planning some HSD coilovers and a 6psi supercharger kit...im planning on getting a monaro down the track so I want to have stuff I can transfer onto that when I do.

also a decent stereo is on the cards...its already got a nice pioneer headunit with USB, bluetooth etc just need to do some 6.5" splits and a pair of 10" subs...I love my dubstep so im struggling with the stock speakers a bit :lol:

ive also got some sweet corvette LS1 engine covers so they should make the engine bay look a bit nicer combined with the alloy OTR

YES! VZ Tail lights make the rear end look clean.. The VU Ones look so outdated

I'm glad, was worried about reeming them too much if you actually liked them. But those Chrome Altezzas especially aren't really popular with those of us with the gift of... sight.

It's the supercharger kit I am most interested in, you'll should get some decent power out of that. I'm assuming when you say Monaro you mean one of the newer ones, CV8? Can't say I'm a fan of the dubstep myself, there is only so much doof you can get from Bon Jovi, so my little 200w stereo does the trick for the most part. Your pair of 10" subs should shake apart... spacetime.

All in all, great car mate, with what sounds like a great plan for it

It makes me wonder how people can put crap like this on a car and then once they are finished stand back and say "yeah that looks awesome" same goes for 20" chrome wheels so sunken into the guards you can barely see them among other things

I like to think I understand how to tastefully modify a car

yeah im looking towards a CV8, the first series of them...in the orange colour in particular...ive always loved them and still do!

want something fairly streetable...wouldnt mind a power figure around the 290-300rwkw mark.

also want something I can shut right up with a stock exhaust in case I have to pay a visit to the lovely lads down at regency

ride quality is average...its got stock shocks though

HSD coilovers will fix that issue though

got around to giving the thing a wash today and decided to take some photos of my new lights...makes the car look so much nicer from the back...considering doing the VY SS front now to match

PS I really need to learn how to take photos...or stop taking them with an iPhone

few interior goodies arrived this week so I got busy fitting them...the amatuer hour mofo that installed the stereo in the first instance had cracked the centre console surround so it was a good excuse to replace it with a matte grey items from an executive as the painted silver factory SS stuff looks ####ING GAY, also fitted a shorter HSV shifter, new leather gearboot (from the trimmer guy on ebay, much nicer than the vinyl junk) and a hurst shiftknob...the interior is now 100% immaculate and makes the whole driving experience much nicer (I hate ####ed out interiors)
