VX II S(pew Yellow)

Heres what I replaced the VS wagon with.
As the title says, thats what it is.
I dont have any exterior shots yet, cause its raining heaps out.
But its basically stockers atm.

Its got a 2.5' cat back, sounds tops 4 a six.
Its a manuel 2!!!

Interior I have started playing with a little.
I get bored at work, so I start to toy with things. . . .

I've painted the dash contessa gold, aswell as the door handles
and the rear vents for the back. Came out great.

I've also removed the poxy green lights and put in smooth blue.
Had to change the cluster back ground, so its now platinum colour.

Stereo was the first thing I did when I bought it. Clarion most of the way.
HU, splits in the front, 6' in the rear doors, and a 12' hot plate sub.

Oh and custom made scuff plates for the door sills.

Its getting gas soon, and I really want to put 18s on it!!!

Spewin, one of the bulbs blew after I put all the dash back together, so it all has to come out again, for the 5th time I think. . . .

Just wondering about the blue lights behind the dash.. is it just bulbs you have to replace or what? Cause I'm way over the dodgy green...

The dash cluster itself, I just replaced the face. Thats y its a silver colour now. But everything else, buttons, power window switches heater controls have been replaced with blue LEDs.
The heater controls were poo cause you have to remove the green paint from them.
Not that hard to do if your that way inclined.

I bought these on Monday from Jax.
I got an awesome deal 2. The Rims are woth 340 each without tyres.

Im toying with the idea of lowering it 2. But that may be a little way off yet.

The Manta wing is next!!!!

Last piccie is of the leather bits I've added 2. Just waiting on the leather shifter now!

Bigger???? bigger than 18's ???? Hmmm not too sure about that - we wanna lower it about 2inches and I don't like the rims to take over the look of the car if ya know what I mean ... or do you mean bigger than what we've got?? Cos we fully plan to go to 18's, once money permits lol

I meant bigger than what you've already got.
You don't realise how much of a difference it makes till you do it!
Im thinking of dropping mine maybe only an inch lower than what it is now.
Mainly cause I don't want a harsh ride again.

Um I bought it a year ago, after trade in I paid bout $23,500.
Spewin now, cause the price of cars dropped big time wen fuel went up. . .
Oh well. . . .

Its got 87 thou on it now.

OK so how do i start about getting the dash apart? i wanna paint mine a different colour too but dont know where to start. Also how to pull the plascit cover that covers the gauges.. how do i get that out and what are they worth to replace? mines all scratched. VT 98 exc

Pulling the dash out is pretty easy.
You have to pull up the little mat under the flip down tray.
Unscrew the 2 screws there. Then you'll have the pull the bottom bit of the dash insert up from the rear, near where the power window switches would be.
To get the rest off, there are 2 screws above the instrument cluster. 2 under where the bottom half covered up and 3 under the drivers side cover.
Then just pull it out gently. Make sure you unhook the swtiches and wot not too.

When you paint it make sure you clean it with prepsol aor similar and use a plastic primer on it!

Once you have it all out, the instrument cluster is held in by 2 screws, you'll c them easily. Once they're out, pull the top of it 2ward you.
The plastic cover will just unclip once you have it out.

Well I finally got some piccies of the manta wing!

I'm really happy with the way its turned out. I think it suits the car quit well.
I'll have to take some shots with whole car in it, but again raining. . .
