This is my new blank slate. It has been tagged by my family as The Beast. It was bought in July 2012 for $2900.​

The front. Bit of a dint there from a tow bar. Not huge damage but the steel bar behind the front bumper is dinted as well.

It was on 15" black steelies but as a short-term replacement it was fitted with standard Calais 16"s for $200.

I also fitted a motorised radio antenna to replace the broken manual one that the car came with.

The rear.

I've replaced the key buttons with these silicone ones.

215k on the clock.
- about 230k now -

Alpine head unit.
Alpine type R crossovers to 6" door speakers in front and tweeters mounted in the dash.
Rear doors house 2-way Pioneer 250w 6" speakers.

Glovebox features iPod connectivity from the head unit.
Blue LED in the light space.
And courteous serviettes from Nando's.

Plenty of space in the boot for a sub...

Engine Bay. Everything in there is pretty standard.

Got some lovely white door mirrors to replace the black ones.

Sitting on 17" Rodney Jane Racing "Hype" rims.


I've fixed/fitted or had fixed/fitted:
FE2 springs (Front & Rear).
Monroe shocks (Rear).
Fuel pump (x2). — Dodgy Chinese 简体字體!!!
Coil pack (x2).
Injectors.
Service. (x2)
$900 road worthy.
Steering fluid pipes replaced. Outbound & Return.
Motorised Radio antenna.
Alpine head unit.
Rewiring head unit and speakers.
Apline Type R splits. Type R Tweets mounted in original location in the dash. Type R 6" in front doors.
Pioneer 250w 2-way 6" speakers in rear doors.
Thermostat.
Thermostat housing.
New Serpentine belt. (x2)
New Tensioner Pulley wheel.
Replaced black wing mirrors with body colour wing mirrors.
Heater Valve Tap.
Front Bushings.
Fluids.
Wheel alignment & balancing as well as steering wheel aligning.
Power Steering fluid pump.
Replaced map pocket behind drivers seat.
Air Conditioning.
Glovebox.
New Boot lid & garnish.
Series II tail lights.
VX SS Rear bumper.
Another new Fuel Pump — VDO this time.
Harmonic Balancer pulley.
Rocker cover gaskets.
Kelpro Engine Mounts.
Gates DriveAlign Automatic Belt Tensioner Assembly.

Still needs fixing/replacing:
Dents.
Front Bumper.
Lights inside the Tachometer.
Brakes.

Plans:
Amp & sub.
Replace black plastic body bumper lining with body colour bumper lining. (Or body kit from an S or SS or something).Got: VX SS rear bumper. Side Skirts
Alloys 18" or larger. Ideally 19"s.
Window tint.
Replace headlights with black monaro style headlights.
Change the exhaust tip for a full exhaust system.
Change the tacho from ugly standard black one.

My new babies. Pioneer 6.5" 2way 250w. Fresh install on rear passenger doors

Got them on sale from JB HiFi for $40 and they are awesome.
That's another thing off the list

Cheers man I'll probably get on to that next week.
Yesterday I flushed the cooling system and replaced the thermostat, and also the belt.


So I noticed there is a sticker in my car for King Springs. The fellow I bought it from said something about them but made the suspension stock so as to pass the roadworthy. I imagine that they are still installed on the car. Hmmm!

Just got the car back from the garage. 2 weeks and $500 later, the bottom engine seal is replaced, water pump & gasket, and sorted out the electrics for corrosion. That could have been $500 spent on something nice...
