Just finished off the grille job on the front that is mentioned bout here

Installing Mesh on VX S-Pack Kit

Did it very similiar to that thread only i couldnt get hold of the brackets so i used some right angle brackets from K-Mart that are used for shelves and hot glue gun along the bottom ( im not too sure how long the glue will last with the flexing of the bar but i will trial and see how it goes)

I think it turned out all right what do you guys think

Very nice work, the silver mesh looks totally mint against the Red!!
Atm im waiting for the paint to dry on my mesh and im re-attaching it tomorrow morning.

Think im gonna give those right angle brackets a go myself when I do mine.
I know someone whos a painter, ill have to "borrow" their liquid nails to stick
them on to the bar.

I didnt i actually drilled the hole in the bar but its in the top so you cant see it and attached it with the bolts


But the bottom of the mesh i used a hot glue gun but id ont thik\nk its gonna work cause it doesnt flex with the movement of the bar so i will have to wait and see if i have to pull it off again and mabye use silicone

beatuiful VX SS man. there's just something super duper unique about VX SS's, especially in red, i know it sounds weird, but the wheels really suit teh car in red. noice roide moite!

Well i had to pull the bar off again the mesh started to fall off so i had to drill little holes in the bottom off the opening and used tiny RED cable ties and now its on secure and it aint gonna fall off again now


Also my twin engine covers arrived on friday so have started to paint them got a good coat off red on them today... Will wait a couple of days till i touch up the lettering...

Took a while to get them taped up last nite (Special thanks goes to my G/F for her help in taping them up )

Posted a few picks of them drying in the garage with a heater to cure the paint....

car looks sweet bud, one suggestion, when you get your zorst(headers etc i presume?) be sure to have it tuned at the same time, go an OTRCAI setup with a mafless tune, your car will love you for it, you will love your car for it

I thought Maffless tunes arent legal cause you are removing a sensor which may affect the car isnt there like epa rules to follow

Both my SS's ran/run mafless, the other ran mafless for 2 years with no problem at all I believe the MAF is a bit of a grey area when it comes to EPA as it isnt really a device that will effect emissions from what i understand.

Yeah thats what im thinkin for the mean time plus it will sound alot better and go a little bit harder then look at a tune later

Well sorry its been a while but was waiting for globes to turn up and a few problems with holden but all good now and finding time to get the dash back together but here are some pics

You wont need the different accelerator arm for a VX, they just fit straight on

Picked mine up for about ~$130 at trade price, dont know how much the auto set
would cost tho....I think they look great, deffinately makes the interior look nice
even tho you dont really get to see them as the driver, just really for show when
people take a peek inside your car.
