I haven't seen a shop offer this service. I have seen a guy on Ebay selling switches and components that he has already changed to blue. You could try that. I don't remember seeing a instrument cluster though.

What MCD rating did you use for your blue LEDs... and what did you do to keep
the red part in the heater controls without the Blue light overpowering it?

Once again, that monaro conversion looks smooth!

Cheers mate.

I can't remember but I think I used 5mm 8000mcd on the dash cluster. The air con/heater controls may have been a mix. I did it a while ago and am having trouble remembering.

For the Heater control I glued in a piece of ice cream container down the middle, and used a clear 3mm led on the red side. If you where to pull it apart you would think it looks dodgy but its very effective.

I am actually planing to redo the dash as I got a triple window cluster now that has the stock lights. There was a few floors in the dash pictured which I'm planning on correcting.

I didn't take a pic of the divide I did when I had it out but I took a pic of the panel with the leds. Don't laugh at the size of the resistors, DS was out of stock for the wattage I needed so I took what I could get as I was impaitent.

You can see where I have circled the small 3mm led. The divider runs between the 3mm and 5mm leds.

I'll take a photo when I have it apart next. I have to replace the front decal as I found out the hard way you don't scraped the green off this item.

When I did it I did the air con / heater controls first so I was being extra carful. I took the white off and some of the black. I would say it is dam near impossible to do. I'm only going off my expirances, but it is up to you, I wouldn't recommend it. The blue comes through the decal fine with the green still on it. When I did the dash cluster I was scared it would do the same thing but it is completely different. It takes a little bit of work to get the green of the dash cluster decal, while still being careful. I used a fine sand paper. You have to take notice of what not to rub off.

You can see the back of the decal and what I rubbed off and then held up to a light to see that all the colours work.

Hmmm the good 'ole wet at dry sand paper, good stuff!

Ill have to give that a go on my speedo decal, as what I want to do with mine is
have the trip screen BLUE, but have the dials white...... with that idea maybe I
wont have to change the LEDs in the cluster at all.... cheers for the pics man

So have you left the indicators, the cruise control & power all green, or did you change
the LEDs in there to blue aswel?

The only problem is that the normal globes give a yellow light, you may want to get white leds to give nice white. But at least you can use the normal bulbs untill your ready.

Only thing about changing it to white tho, is that the needles wont light up properly
at night with white LEDs in place of the stocko ones. Its something I still havent
really worked out how im gonna do. Any suggestions?

Ive also noticed in the pics of ur dash that where the green backing has been sanded
off it kinda looks like the light shines through on areas just slightly around the numbers
or is that just the camera over exposing without the flash at night?
