same conversion im doing on mine, ive gone v6 to 5ltr, now to ls1, big job hey lol

Yeah huge job. You just got to do it twice. I should be happy once it's all done, I hope, but then again there is always more you can do. The wife thinks I wont know what to do with all the free time and end up finding another project.

haha thats what happened to me, i finished the 5ltr conversion got it featured then went for a ls1 lol, and bough ta vp senator till its finished... theres always things to do on cars, it nevers stops lol

A little update, after a late-nighter last night, I was able to take it for a drive. And it drives beautiful, and I had forgoten how bumpy my suspension is, mind you I have been driving a stock VT Calais since my car went off the road. Alot more torque off idle too so I'm pretty happy. Got a couple of things to finish up with the interior, also need wheel alignment and aircon service with re-gas. Will be giving it a good clean up over the weekend and take some happy snaps.

lookin awsome man top effort now after all that would u do it again haha? did u have 2 go out and spend any extra money that wasnt accounted 4 at all? either way im sure ud make that back on the other car parts hey.

Thanks mate. I reckon I would do it again because of how nice the car is now. It's a completely different car to drive. I had good handling suspension before and now its got better seats and loads more torque.

At the end of the day it cost me more then I thought it would, there was a lot of little things that I didn't know I'd need. And although I have parts I can sell, all the parts that people want and are willing to pay decent money for I have used. But I should make a little money back.

I am very happy with the end result. Now it's time to save up for the Di Filippo extractors and exhaust system, MAF-less tune, and diff gears.
