I'm changing my exhaust system soon to some stainless mufflers for a cleaner sound. So I got bored and recorded the sound of my car under acceleration. Heres some clips:
First is just some acceleration.
First recording (WAV format)
Second is slowing down with some exhaust crackle and a quick hit.
Second recording (WAV format)
Third is hard acceleration first and second gear.
Third recording (WAV format)

Another photo that shows off the front end better.
Nice car and some nice mods you have there.
15" rims? You need 18 at least!!
Your blue lights look great. I like the red and blue contrast.
Nice VT mate, hope to see it at a QLD cruise one day.
They look like they are 16's you have on there.
I used to be a Reddo boy, grew up there and remember spending many a friday and saturday night out on Anzac.
Then The Boys Light Up.
Unfortunately the 15’s are the let down in the looks department
I have never really worried about wheels because a) larger wheels slow you down a little (i.e. changing rolling diameter) and b) I used to go through tyres fairly quickly with the amount of Km’s I had to travel each day. Now that I drive the wife’s car to work Km’s are no longer an issue and with the new diff going in, rolling diameter is no longer an issue either. So the only excuse I have left is finding a design I’m happy with.
I’m thinking of going with 17” VY II Calais wheels. Just have to find someone who wants to sell some to me at the right price.

The VT sounds awesome mate. What sort of system is that? Diameter, Mufflers etc.
Yep tell me what exhaust you have i want one lol..... NOW
The exhaust is Extractors 1.5" primary 2.25" collector, Hi-Flow Cat, 2.5" piping with single hi flow muffler and 4" res. I'm unsure as to what brand the muffler is but I'm sure the high flow cat and res is what has changed the sound some what from most other Ecotechs. It sounds simular but still different from others.
I'm changing the exhaust in about 2-3 weeks to a custom set up. Because my extractors as 2.25" collectors I'm going 2.25" pipe from extractors to twin 2.25" cats, 2.25" pipe to a Y join into 2.5" pipe to a stainless lukey ultra flow and stainless ressie. Which will change the sound again.

Hey Jezz, just wondering if you could point me in the right direction on how to go about changing the dash LEDs. I think the red and blue look really cool and was wondering if you could tell me how to do it.
Cheers.
A PM would be sweet...

Yes, good old Anzac Ave. Redcliffes’s own illegal drag strip. Wouldn’t be able to afford the 2 – 3 tanks of fuel you would chew each night now days. The cops have busted it up so many times now. There used to be very fast cars that would cruise and race on Anzac on Friday nights at about 2am Saturday morning. All gone now, but there is still a few people out on Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights and the Sunday afternoon cruise, mainly the younger ones that haven’t lost their licence yet or that haven’t experienced Cookie or any of Redcliffe’s finest.
Finally I put the LSD in and got my new exhaust system. The exhaust is quieter now which is what I was after. I'll put up another sound file as soon as the exhaust system settles in and carbons up a little.

I love the front end... The tungsten has gotta be one of my favorite colours, I like the dash lights.
All up, very nice car dude![]()
