Well, I FINALLY decided I would post-up my ride & get some ideas/feedback. I wanted to start from scratch, which is why I bought it stock as a rock a while back (didn’t want to buy a car that has already had most of the interesting stuff done to it). I’m hoping to end up with a classy cruiser I can use as my daily. Enjoy!

"A life lived in fear is a life half lived"
thanks mate. the door handles came up really nicely, but they took so freakin' long to install!!! i'm fairly new to all this so it was quite a hard task but def. worth it, makes tha exterior look very classy.
yeah, berlina's are very comfortable and well worth tha extra $$$. a calais or even clubsport would have been better, but insurance etc. isn't worth tha troubles...
Cheers,

hey mate... nice berlina... i see what ya meen about the chrome door handles, looks wikid.
nice grille aswell.
how much did your interior and exterior door handles cost... and how did u install em...
cheers

NMJ
thanks nmj, tha interior ones were $17 and tha exterior were roughly $46. installing tha interior handles is fairly simple, just gotta unscrew it & pull it forward & unclip it. tha exterior ones were a bit more complicated. just a few pics of my progress. i think my explanations make sense...well they might when you get started...hope they help. good luck.
Cheers,

where did u buy them from? thats pretty cheap, ive been told that the interior handles are about 100 for 4...
NMJ
got it from tint professor $265. happy with how it came out, only wish it could be darker...

Your car is real nice mate.
Where will you be putting airbags? I would have thought that a Berlina would come with all the airbags you'd need.
^ Im guessing airbag suspension?... Boh..
Very nice, Very classy, White with those chrome door handles looks tops!
Can't tell from that pic, but do you have the Series 2 Calais headlights? they look hot!
Very nice car though, gotta love the vx, classy++
But wait... There's more!!
But that's not all!!!

thanks mate, by airbags i mean airbag suspension (which i was goin to get in dec, but goin to use tha money to travel instead...plus coz im on my p's insurance would have killed me!). but yeah, ive got 3 airbags already (drivers, passenger & side...dont think i need anymore!
Cheers,
Infin8
thanks mate, wat sold this vx as opposed to every other vx i looked at was the fact it was white...i reckon white & chrome go really well, which is why i cant wait till i get chrome rims (but dont know when that will be...). i just have VXII Berlina headlights and i believe the VXII Berlina & VXII Calais have the same headlights...damn expensive to replace!
Cheers,

Hows it feel at night with 20% on the back window man? I need to have mine redone
soonish and since my last car was done by the tint professor aswel ill be going back
to them. I found 35% hard enough to see out the back with at night on my last car...
People always saying you can have 20% on the back window cause you are directly
looking at the window.....but I still also thought it had to be 35% all around the car to
suit our VIC laws...?? Cause if this aint the case then ill be goin 20 on the back myself
being a white car, that looks sweet![]()
Just a quick question about the exterior handles... Did you replace the backing as well and get that sprayed... Or did you just take the handle out and replace it with the chrome one? I really should have looked into this a little more before buying them but oh well![]()
But wait... There's more!!
But that's not all!!!

VT Calais II... The Italian Stallion
with 20% on tha back there is a noticeable difference & I wouldn't go any darker (dont know how these guys with 5% tint in other states see properly at night??). The difference is not as noticeable at night with 35% but visibility is still good, I only struggle with 20% in dim areas etc. otherwise theres no problem. 35% is tha darkest legal in VIC but when it comes to your rear windshield, tha law is not so clear, but I wouldn't go any darker than 20% 1. reduced visibility 2. cop bait!!!
just as a side note, tha pics posted prob. show tha tint at its darkest, that is, depending on the angle of light, tha tint looks slighter lighter but tha pics above show it as its darkest...if that makes sense???
I just took tha chrome handle out and used tha new parts that came with the handle (which work much better now) but used my old painted backing (waxed them up and gave them a good polish) they came up looking brand new! no more key/ring scratches from previous owner![]()
