The other week before i went to schoolies, my hardtop came of the hinges after we hit a rather large dip in the road. Basically hit the dip and bounced back up, the hinges came off (god knows how) and the hardtop went through my rear window.

My mate was driving it at the time and were really lucky that the top didnt come off altogether, the gas strut things held it to the car, because if it had come off altogther id hate to think what it would have dont to the car behind us. Already got a quote for $300 from a local master tint (bought the car off a mastertint guy up the coast) and when i told him that i had bought it of a master tint guy and how it happened, hes now going to replace it and tint it for cost price which was about $100

just to let yous know, had the ute booked in to get a new rear window on thursday and an hour after i dropped it of he rings me up saying he got the wrong size window and that he had already ordered a replacement window and it will be here on friday (yesterday). I was a bit pissed off but i said that was cool, aslong as it was done by the weekend.

So later on at about 2pm i get another call from him asking if it was still ok to order the window because the new window is going to cost $300 instead of $100. i was like wtf u said u had already ordered it!!!!!!!

He got the window in about 30min before he closed for the day which was lucky and the windows fitted, getting tinted this morning and i shall be driving my baby (pretty much for the first time) in a couple hours.

    later mitch..

should be able to get an exedy heavy duty clutch for about $600-700, cant see it costing that much for labour, not $1200 anyway.

they included a new flywheel in that price (or reground or whatever they do). Yeh supercheeap quoted $540 for the exedy clutches.

    Damn that thing is Hot!

Have you got any updated pics, particually the back where the numberplate is (i couldn't see anywhere for it to go)

Spuin about the bad luck youve had with the clutch and hardcover, but things like that is usually a reason for seling the car in the first place. Just hope thats all that the previous owner knew was wrong.

Nice ute, like the front bar looks way tuffer that way, wheels are clean and simple good choice and colour good to see something different. Some big brake's inside those rims and that's One tuff ute. COOL.

just to let you all know. i crashed my ute in the holidays. was going around a corner when i got distracted and locked up into the gutter (was raining). Its covered by insurance which is really good. Smash repairers told me that all the suspension is rooted, 3 mags and tyres are gone, front bar and side skirts are a bit damaged and the strut towers are twisted? All up around $6500 damage. I think the engine might have got a bit knocked around aswell. It should be repaired and i get it back within 1-2weeks. Sorry got no pics.
