GL with the install. They are pretty easy to do if you are handy with the spanners.

hahaha yeah I am handy with spanners but have a habit of dropping things on my head!

Changing the gearbox on the old VN, I dropped a 19mm spanner on my head and had a 2 day migraine
Then the other weekend installing Matt's amp I dropped that on my head. At least all I had was a bump!

    I will have fun

Oh also a note to people upgrading their cluster.
If you have a car with Traction Control, make sure the cluster supports the features.
The VT HSV cluster does not have support for Traction Control and has not Traction indicators.

    Keza

Its in the pic from 2004, but gauges were removed from all info mentioning what was included in kit/s in advertising media (website) in early 2006. The gauges were too unreliable ........... so out they went.

Sorry I don't mean to complain, just making an observation.
I will let you know how the install goes. I am going to set-up the web-cam and film the install, something me and a friend thought about doing. I will post up the vid when I can.

Radarak, I would love to come and watch but have so much on that I won't be able to come. Let me know how you go though.

Didn't run last night as I finished work too late. I did go down and watch a few mates though. Next week I will definately be down there. It will give me time to add the good oils to the car. Royal Purple for motor, diff and gearbox.

How's it going fellas?? Quite a few Raptor kits being DIY'd around Australia this weekend and a lad in Cairns is up and running already His note is below, got an excellent photo as well

How easy is that ! All on and going in 7 hours including cleaning out the plenum.I'll get the ecu sent Monday morning,I'll also get it booked in for a dyno the following Wednesday at Cairns.

About i duno 5-6 we finished, i forget what time we started but it wasent too early around 11-12? Ill wait for kez to post pics its sounds awsome to

All good, put up a pic when you get one, seems you flew through it hey which is excellent.

About that silicone, I am keen to see what you did and what problem there was/wasn't with what I supplied. I will wait until Keza puts up his kit pic before I put any other pics up.

the instructions also got a bit doubly doubly confusing about mid way through too, I think theres too much text trying to describe a simple task, but thats my opinion

As for the pipe it says to mount the 45 degree pipe to the pod filter and MAF sensor but we didnt have a 45 degree pipe, we had a straight pipe with 2x different sized hose clamps. The pipe was the same diameter as the pod filter and the throttle body though so apart from the fact it meant the filter wouldnt fit into place, it also meant it wouldnt go over either item. It looked like the wrong one had been thrown in

hey while Im thinking of it Im gonna bet Kez to the punch here ... where the hell do you wire the cooling fan too? We had a debate for about an hour about it between 4 of us, and still didnt agree

And there is an abundance of photos because it was too wet to setup a webcam

Yes there is plenty text, definitely the first time I have heard a comment on that but .......... it has been noted.

About the straight silicone with the 2 different sized hose clamps, yes it does fit (has on the last 100 kits) however it just has to be expanded more on the MAF side hence the bigger hose clamp as a normal sized clamp is then too small. The large 90 degree silicone going up to the throttle body is same, small clamp one end and large clamp the other end, again for same reason.

The airfilter is a direct fit onto the airflow meter as well, again stretch it over and use larger hose clamp, fits like a glove no worries.

Cooling fan can be wired to anything that is key on power supply, I normally use the fuel pump relay at the fuse box underbonnet on drivers side but its pretty fiddly to get to, get an auto electrician if in doubt, will save smoking the car.

I packed 3 kits that day, all identical, others were fine (no fitting issues) so I am sure Keza's was too. Maybe I could rewrite sections, as I now supply a preinstalled air temp sensor as well so no need to remove old one from airbox, this is a recent update to make it easier and safer for DIY people.

    thanks Tim

I know how hard it is to write instructions like that, its just we got to mounting the coil pack back onto the car and it became a bit of a maze from thereon in as to what the text was trying to tell us. although that said it wasnt impossible (obviously) and the photos were a massive help.

The hose is a classic example of it, we threw the theory around thats what it was meant to do but werent 100% sure thus how we found ourselves trying to buy a hose that would fit.

And yes, we noticed the air temp sensor Good idea IMHO

I'll give ya this, your support and interest is second to none. Its good to see a company interested in following through on their customers progress and lending a hand when needed.
