You legend bro, actually we don't supply plugs with the Alloytec kit, but apparently BOSCH have one of their SUPER4 plugs in a few different heat ranges for Alloytec. The blower sound is awesome on an Alloytec too, you know you have a high tech engine with all them cams etc and then to hear the blower whine with it ................... just knocks ya out man

Yeh I have now had a few looks now because of the whine
I am very happy with it. It liked the run out to Orange the other day with a few laps of Mt Panarama just for good measure. I will also be heading to Queensland next week so I will see how it goes.

I have also updated the pics finally. I got some good shots of it from the cruise.

Hey everyone, just thought I would let everyone know how the car is doing.

Recently I did a trip to Brisbane and back. Going up I got a best of 700km out of the tank but this was due to taking the "fun way" around Sydney to by-pass all the peak hour congestion.
But on the trip back I filled up at Red Land Bay just south of Brissie and managed to get all the way to the twin servos on the F3! 820km out of one tank! I think if I wasn't such a lead foot over taking everyone and didn't encounter such congestion I believe I could have gotten to Sydney!

Also had a funny thing happen the other day. Had an idiot trying to race me and was carrying on beside me in a VX exec with a crap sounding exhaust. Any way I needed to get into his lane, so I dropped it back to 2nd and took off. Well didn't he look a fool and back off. That was really funny!

So far so good with the Getrag box. I will be doing an oil change on it soon for the track day the NSW chapter are doing and will let everyone know how it goes.

One thing to note was that the intake pipe for the supercharger kept rubbing on the bonnet. I have now managed to get it sitting lower by using another mounting point on the super charger and slightly modifying the bracket.

Those fuel figures are the same as I quoted from our car a long time ago, the ProStreet kit really lifts the fuel economy like nothing else. Sometimes I wish I could go back to it as I don't get that kind of economy from the Intercooled system.

Great to hear you are enjoying the system and yes if no severe treatment in first gear the Getrag will be fine, only solid abuse will kill it.

The car looks great. Love the Senator front end on it!

    Update time!

Now Recently the NSW chapter organised a Track Day at Oran Park and had a blast. A big thanks goes to Torquative for organising such an event and the Track Skill guys.
Unfortunately I destroyed the Raptor Supercharger internal drive belt. After speaking to Tim at Raptor he asked me to send it back for repairs. I received it back a short time later with a bit of a freshen up which has really improved performance. This was all done for free as the charger was only 4 months old at that stage.
Below are the pictures from track day. Thanks to Ronnie and our professional photographer Matt.
    Track day photos by Ronnie
    Track day photos by Matt

Just before the track day I found an OTR CAI designed especially for the Ecotec. I have modified it slightly to suit the supercharger and have found it to be much better than the Pod set-up. I will get some decent pics of it all soon.
Also around the same time I changed the gearbox and diff oils. So far I have not had any issues with the Getrag box and am surprised its holding up as good as it has.

Also just recently was the purchase of VZ SS seats. I have now discovered the head aches of changing seats over. The VZ seat bases and rails are different to the VX items and presumably the VY items as well. I have swapped the fabric and foam bases over and bolted the VZ back half to the VX base. The only issue is that the VZ SS base has 2 metal bars welded on it for the bolsters. I will need to cut these off and weld them to the VX base at a later date but already find them a big improvement over the standard items.

If you have already looked at the track day photos you will also notice the horrible suspension set-up the wagon currently has. I am currently looking for suggestions as I did have the sedan FE2 springs in the rear but it was too soft and bouncy. I am looking for something not too low as I tow a trailer every now and again plus it still has to do its wagonly duties. The front is currently just right but I want to get some coil-overs as the front shocks are starting to go soft.

Next on the agenda are new wheels

    Another update
I got annoyed with the coil pack being so tight against the supercharger, looking so ugly in its position and rubbing on the bonnet liner. So yesterday I spent half the day relocating the coils to the driver's side of the motor up against the firewall using the Raptor coil bracket. Its one hell of a job but its done and working well. Plus it also looks so much neater.
Also are some pics of the OTR CAI that works much better than just the open pod filter

Pics aren't the best but at least do justice.

Mate, takin the hat off to you, maybe you like to share some secrets on what part number etc that the OTR is, that will make a freakin HUGE difference and in winter time the power will be completely off tap.

Major props to Keza for innovation.

Must be innovation week with TVS's VZ and this OTR development

Unfortunately I don't have any information on the OTR CAI. It was an Ebay special that I had found just before the track day. It cost me about $200 but it has been well worth it. The CAI is made out of plastic and has all the seams plastic welded. The only issue I had installing it was the radiator shroud, which I ended up cutting.
The seller's name is pusti05 but currently has nothing.

I had been thinking of using an LS1 item but the top radiator hose would have gotten in the way. This one is designed for the VT-VY Ecotec but I had slightly adapted it to the supercharger with the use of a VR intake fitting.

Unfortunately I won't be at CFC6. I don't really want to attract attention at the moment until it is completely finished.

It is a straight forward swap, with the exception of requiring it to be programmed by Tech2. If you can get one that is new or less than 100km the correct KM can be programmed but cannot be changed if otherwise.

I don't believe it sounds like that. Need a proper camcorder to record it or at least an audio recorder.

Richie believe me I wanted to stay with genuine but I am really happy with these, even if they didn't want to go on first go.

The front is already low enough. I have split the front bumper underneath due to a parking stopper thingy. But I will lower the rear a bit, just need to save a few $$$$ to do it.

At least the pic was taken from the good side

Yeh I have upgraded the fronts brakes to VE 322mm brakes. I just need to drive the car for a bit for the pads to wear in, at the moment I am not fully convinced.
I gave the car a good wash yesterday but didn't get time to take some pics

If you could pass that info on that would be great! I am now at the point that I am fairly happy and need to get the car fully engineered.
I gave consulmotive a call who gave me the advice to upgrade the brakes and now I need to get an emissions test but want to get the car a re-tune just to make sure it will pass.

I will give SAS a call through the week or call in during lunch.
