if your looking at getting rid of the driving lights and/or light bar let me know because I can put either/or both to good use

thats right, you were looking for some driving lights.
I will bring them when we meet up when ever that may be!

cool! They'll come in handy for night time driving on rural roads and I figured one day I'll come across someone who doesnt want a set anymore

I haven't updated this for a while so I might as well do it.

In early November 07 I had an accident with a forklift. The result was about $5000 damage to the car and not a scratch to the forklift.



Taking advantage of the situation I decided to do a front end conversion. It was originally going to be a VZ R8 front end, but due to the wait for the front bar I decided on the VZ Senator front end. While it was in the panel shop I also got a few other things done as well.

This is the progress of the build so far



After almost 3 months, it is almost there. Just fixing up a few issues with the front bar at the moment.

Dude that looks awesome. Now all you need is a rear bar and the skirts to complete it.

It has the VY SS wagon skirts that I am happy with but I couldn't get my hands on a VY SS wagon rear bar, so I had to settle with just the VY rear bar

isnt the stock VY bar the same as the vt/vx bar?

love the front end... have another good geez on the 30th...

Nah, its not the same. The VY bar is not as round as the VT/VX

How did you go with the front bar getting touched up?

My car copped some mad chips from the re-surfaced bit on putty rd....

I had alook at a March 2008 Microcat parts CD and Kezas right, it only lists one type of bar for VY/VZ.

Ive been told to obtain the VY SS bar the dealer has to deal with Holden and its a ****e fight at best because the answer their gonna get will be "not listed? cant get it ..."

yeah but on the same note holden said that the VT and VY/VZ are door vents are all the same colour....

But I managed to get the hookup from some local holden re-seller... Satin silver or whatever it is...

you have turned what was. another vx wagon. into a sweet looking ride.
are you going to put the holden badge on the front grill. just my opinion but i think it needs it. and just looking at your cluster. 32.6L /100km that doesnt seem to good. haha

I didn't want the badge on the front and have already cut the bracket for it off.
That pic was taken about 2 minutes after it was installed but it does that when you reset the trip computer as well

There is still more that I want to do to it as well. The back end has been lowered but I don't have any pics of that yet

Got plates on the front end yet? or just waiting to be pulled over...

Personally I wouldnt change a thing with the front end mate....

Yeh, got the plate for it and cable tied it to the mesh. It looks good where it is

My plates are actually pott rivitted to my front bar... too bad if I wanna respray aye...

I would like to put some shadow deep dish but I would also like to have holden wheels. Unfortunately holden don't have any dished wheels.
