Hey mate
Nice VX, looks nice a clean too
hey mate... looking good for a clean start, not bad system seeing ur running the stock head unit howd ya go about that to run to an amp mate? curious to know how ya did it.
cheers, yeah i hate seeing it dirty, its always clean
to run the amp, i tapped into the rear speakers from the back of the head unit and run them into a hi-lo converter Jaycar Electronics
then from there its just rca out to the amp, so really the amp is running in parallel with the rear speakers, cheaper than changing the head unit and then getting the steering wheel buttons connected again
cheers

Ripcell, mate I like the sounds of it.. is there any change that you have some photo's of your little set up with the wiring and converters..? Cause i wouldn't mind getting my steering wheel buttons working again..
Cheers
Jay
sweet az thanks mate.
here ya go man,
the first pic is where i tapped into the rear speakers, just run in parallel with the rears.
the other 3 pics are just the converter and the wiring of it, kinda messy, gunna stash some clips and a proper terminal block from work one day when i remember. it was actually cheaper to wire it up like that cos the converter is cheaper than a decent rca lead
hope that helps
thinkin about painting me calipers, not sure what colour i should go, thinking the traditional red, not sure...

Thanks man i appreciate you taking the photos and putting them up for me to see. Thanks mate.. gives me an idea to maybe go back to the standard head unit to get it looking standard, and using my steering wheel buttons again.
Thanks mate, may look a tad bit messy but its got the job done :P
yeah was a late night job, been meaning to clean it up, the joins and **** are all done well (im an electrician have the tools and the parts) didnt have heatshrink the night i did it so tape was the go...
cheers - R
nice acclaim bud,,, how do find the traction control mine sh!t's me to tears lol... very clean well done champ...
painted the calipers last night. looks sweet...
ignore the dirty car, bloody job sites![]()
calipers look good.. would do it to mine but you can't see sh1t with the rims I've got.
yeah cheers, finished it tonight, did the rear ones, didnt get time to do them the on tuesday when i did the fronts
time for an update,
SS kit has gone on minus the rear spoiler, still unsure weather i want to put it on or not, i doubt i will tho.
im thinking it needs different wheels now, the 17s just dont cut it with the kit on it now
Get some bigger rims!
Id put the wing on, kinda needs it.
Other than that its a nice car mate! I like it!
aZk.
looks good mate. leave the spoiler off...oh and take the badges off..... looks silly having a ss kit on it with acclaim badges.
being a dark colour i'd go with chrome wheels to set it off.![]()
sweet car dude, love the body kit conversion
i'd like to see black rims no a black car, i rekon it would look tough
good luck for the future mate![]()
VX Acclaim
looking good mate i love the amp idea just wondering about the sound quality though?
hey mate, slow reply sorry, um the sound quality was fine like that, better now its got the new player in it tho.
new pic, i got bored a couple of weekends ago and wacked the spoiler on, not sure its better or worse, i did like that different look without it, but i think it looks good with it on too
