just a quick message for all you guys who are thinkin of puttin an OTR CAI on their L67's. its definitly worth it. i installed the aunger CAI and i must say after a few drives the car has adjusted nicely to it and there is a definite improvement on response and also engine noise. i can actually hear my supercharger whining away now.
also cant wait til uni's over will be putting rockers and a 10psi pulley on so when it gets done im gettin a dyno run (and possibly a tune). so il post up the results wen it gets done.
    cheers

    nice car man..

    gota love the colour..

    same as myne =)

and to previous arguments.. everyone knows a slightly modded super6 will beat a 5l, 5.7 or wrx off the line.. simply because we have usable torque from idle and can stall it up with no traction loss thanks to the auto :P

after they wind up we get eaten..

    my two cents

Nice car mate. Get a pulley on it already will ya lol

Once you do you'll be dirty on yourself for waiting so long. These things get off the line.

Not to get into the 5L vs L67 debate but the look on their faces is gold in the rear view mirror..on the street and at the track, I've seen it over and over and over hahahaha

Went to chip control today to get a power run on my VT, just to see what its running at before i went any further with mods. Atm i have pacemakers 1 5/8's, 2 1/4 cat back and a bigger CAI. so before we did the run scott says we should be looking around the 130rwkw mark. We did the run and it came back with a 108rwkw !!! as soon as i saw that i thought '****e, i wonder how much i can flog this car/lemon off for!'. anywayz long story short, scott finds that for sum reason my by-pass valve has been stuck open all this time, thus the supercharger was literally doing nothing, actually it was putting out a whopping 0.5PSI! after a few adjustments and another run we got 133rwkw with a healthy 6PSI boost reading! absolutely rapt, the car drives so much better. So i just want to say a big thanks to scott at chip control for helping me out and giving me all the good advice.

    car looks great man.
one question when you removed your s-pack sticker from the side did you get left with this little film outline? i took my s-pack rubber badge and eco-tech ones with no worries just polished off the crap, but the sticker left me with this stupid outline that i cant seem to scratch off.
ill go out and take a pic now to show ya, how did you go about getting it off?

ey mate, i never had one of those stickers to begin with i think it may have been an option on the S packs as i dont see alot of them. sorry i couldnt help ya out with that.

as for an update on the car....

i installed the 10psi pulley and the YT 1.9/1.95 rockers. and iv gota say its not the bang for my bucks i was hoping for. before these mods it pulled 132rwkw (2 1/4 cat back, 1 5/8 pacies, bigger OTR CAI) and after it pulled 140rwkw at the dyno day last week and was ****ed wen i saw that. The car doesnt feel that much more faster or responsive, its moved my power towards the top end which i knew it would but i didnt expect the car to be a slug down low. the only thing i would say that has improved is obviously top end pull but also a much smoother kick down and rev out wen i punch it round the middle range. according to the guys at chip control they are saying it needs a tune coz its running too rich (the figure was 10.5 over something, i cant remember exactly). i know guys here have pulled much better results with near identical setups and im hesitant to pump more money into the car and be even more dissapointed. so yeh thats my little rant...

Hey mate just wanna congratulate you on a great ride, sorry to hear about the 'boost' woes but apart from that its a clean vessel, just wanted to ask you where you got ya chrome grill from and how much it set ya back?

Thanx 4 the comments guys. However, I am not selling my rims. I purchased them from the tyre factory in south morang, i highly recommend them. Also in regard to the chrome grill. they were already on the car wen i bought them so i am not sure where exactly would be the best place to buy them.
