That looks bloody good mark..

Can't believe holden they do rip people off... Try an Auto elec they are tech2 also and they might be able to get a cheaper airbag or even second hand and reset the system.

With the LED's it's scary at first as i know but with good help especially from WRX884 i was able too move along and get it done.. I think i was lucky i cheated and went T5 led which is a cheat. I went the easy way i don't know my resistors and things very well.

Thanks WRX884... Was much better the 2nd time around, Just a little dab here and there and she went in and worked first go i was pretty happy too see it light up.

Had a good day, Got my Air-Bag system reset by the guy that done the VP Auto for me 2 years ago, He didn't even ask me too cough up any money he's a top bloke that's why i keep going back..
If anyone tells you it's hard to do they are full of ****!.. Come out with his little tech2 pc.. Plugged it in under the fuse door, 1min later all good.

Also got my Tyres bonnet badge and gave it a rippa wash down at the local car wash my arms are killing..
And tomorrow i get too hit the freeway down too old geelong road to Windscreens oBrian for the windscreen.. So I'm looking forward too going for a little trip in the car.

Thanx!

With the led conversion kit, are there led's for the power window switches (the centre console and the back ones?)
And just another tip with the windscreen, if they are going to replace the seals around the screen, make sure that its a fit for VT especially onyl becuase i have the vx one on mine and now the corners are starting to shrink and water is starting to peep in

im just a bit nurvous about converting only coz i dont wanna f**k sumthing up to the car!!!

ive been downloading heeps of pics n steps/procedures on how to do it, so im pretty sure that i would be ok about it

there is also another thing that i would like to mention, would it be possible on incresing the speed of the windows winding up n down? the bak windows go very slow when winding up that i can see the leds in my dash flikr when it gets wound. can i change the speed or do i have to purchase a whole new motor for it?

I did the power windows centre and the rears.. I did have some trouble they are very hard too me.. When i did the centre power windows it came out pretty good, But the rear switches are small and a huge pain in the bum, They took me forever to get right, And i almost broke them both or burnt them... I in the end had to replace one switch and it's green i broke my last LED.. That's how hard i felt it was to get one in my fat fingers just wouldn't get in easy.
But it works once in...

So just too get the trip computer climate control display mode switch centre power windows and one single rear power window switch, I went through 2 climate controls and one rear power window switch..
But i didn't get confidence even from my mistakes.. The trip computer is maybe the easiest one too do once you get it out of the dash.

Like everything we try sometimes we stuff up but once we stuff up we learn more from that and we don't do it again I'm sure you will do fine and if you troubled just pop into the led thread and ask away plenty too help you out.

It's alright if i see one drip they will need to replace the whole screen Life time warranty.. I just need wipers now..

Mine are the same a touch slow.. Maybe they arms can be sprayed with wd40 up in the door?, Or maybe the seals where the window goes up and down is stiffer and older and rubs hard against it stopping it from moving faster?..

New screen..

Car goes in 9th of July for VIV finally!..
Total car is ready nerves but glad to finally get it over with.

Looks ready but looking and being are to different things that's why I'm slightly nerves.

Went out too Deer park wreckers love that place..
They had a VY there grabbed all this gear for $95 plus some other bits and peace's needed sill covers seat frame cover clips for taillights.
I'll wait until it's register before attempting to fit this gear.

It's pretty much passed the VIV, This is something good for anyone that is going for a VIV and there airbags have deployed, Go to holden and have a srs airbag test done to make sure they are working fine must be done at holden but make sure you have the paperwork from them to prove it. Saves time days even. They don't mind they wont fail you on that they just like it as it's a requirement now with VIV if the airbags have deployed. The VIV will also provide you with paper work for this, I did ask them if i should have done this earlier and they said it's no big deal it wont cost you anything to them, But you will have to pay holden about $160 for them to stick there pc into that socket under the dash and do jack for that..

Silly thing, I had my paperwork perfect and one thing let me down, The radiator support, They cut the front off another car and what dio they call it? Front cut, And on my receipt they didn't put that down, This and most of the parts went straight to the repairers factory so i didn't see them..
They just want me too go to them and get a receipt and vin from the donor car, They were very happy with the car and the repairs done, Even giving me credit for having such an organised folder with receipts and pictures, He told me life would be much easier for them and us if people were this organised, Gave me a big head. But i like to be as organised as i can be.

So ring Holden for this SRS test, Dow to wreckers for the receipt and vin..
Back to the VIV testers with receipt and SRS test and they will hand me the paper work, Then RWC and Reg on road very happy boy.

Past the VIV. Easy enough.

Passed SRS System check.

Failed RWC. Stupid things.
Wiper washers are not aimed perfect only 3 hit the window and one missed slightly. (Done)

T-Bar auto doesn't lock, My fault the pin wasn't in right. (Done)

Had to replace rear shocks to lowered shocks because under full travel they were loose?,
It's not that low really is it? About FE2 height. (Done).

Power steering is leaking from top slightly, Wash and Clean a few turns tighten everything up (Done).

Sump plug is leaking, I told them i did oil change and had to jack the front up to get under the car, I'm not small i can just get a arm under the VP but the VT has the lower bar.. Getting it hoisted tomorrow for a look, I think that was just me front up bum down it's going to leak somewhere on the sump?.

Nothing bad I'll be back for my RWC tomorrow arvo Then booking it in for next week.

yeah nice ride mate !
how much did u pay for the series 2 grille inserts by the way?
Good pickup with the VY interior stuff.
I paid nearly double that for just the two illuminated sun visors for my VT Calais!
Get a stealth straight thru pipe diff back, sounds heaps better than the quiet stock zorst!

Cheers,
VT97Calais

Thank you mate..

I think, but I'll need to check my paper work but they were about $85 from holden?, Pretty expensive i think.

I'm going to have to get them wired up with the sunglass holder and wh international clock one day,
Deer park wreckers if they have what you want they are very cheap, It's having what you need is the hardest thing, Very popular.

I'll need a exhaust system one day, The VP sounds great and the VT sounds, Well, Very quite,
I can play music and have a conversation whilst driving with ease, With the VP got a 1000 watt sub, Have trouble hearing people in the back seat,
But i already miss the sound.
