    Default Vt Executive.

G'day fellas. Just gonna put up some pics of my car.

It's a VT Executive S2, it's my first car and is in alright nick except for the paint just under the door windows, don't have a clue how it got like that but it was cheap so all is good.

Just want to ask you's some questions as to what would make my car look a little better, I have already bought a ss body kit for it but I just got to put it on.

I am wanting to lower it but don't have a clue as to what height is a good height and all that mumbo jumbo cause I have not even the slightest idea when it comes to cars. So maybe some of you could help me out haha.

Anyways here is the pics, I got one of the rough paint see if you can figure out what might have caused it cause I dont have any idea. Cheers.

Na it's only on the foor doors exactly the same as in the photo but on all the doors, and on the top of the left and right rear quarter panels.

I was thinking about a respray but just couldn't justify it, but Ifound some pain that matches the car perfectly. And I sanded one of the quater panels lightly to just smooth it out and i sprayed it and it looks good, if you didn't know what itwas like before you couldn't even tell the difference, so i'm just sticking with that for a little while.

It is actually the quater panel that is shown in the picture of the whole car, looks a little dodgy but im gonna do it again and make it alot better.

How much would does it generally cost to get it lowered?

I live in NSW so they probably wouldn't come down here, but if I could find someone like that down here it would deffinately be worth looking at, even if they couldn't fully fix it I reckon they could make it a hell of a lot better, cheers mate.

Burgess mate.. that looks to me like its orange peel, which hasn't been sprayed properly and the first layer is peeling thats just my guess..

Yeh SS kit no wing and lowered about 1.5" will sit nicely. its about $400 at bob jane if ya want just the spring done with pedders. and shocks can vary in what you want and price.

    nice car tho mate.

Burgo, hey mate. When it comes to altering the handling of the car don't try to do it the cheapest way, coz you can easierly stuff up a good car by not doing it properly. Good lowered springs and to get a pro to do it is defiently the best way to go about it in my books. Good luck.

Gee thats alright, I was expecting something like $1000. Gonna have to look into that definately.

My dad just picked up and SS interior for it today for 180 bucks, it's in like perfect nick, can't wait to chuck it in tho.

Ill probably get it lowered sometime in the next 2 weeks and put the body kit on it, hopefully it will look nice haha, but thanks fellas ya all been a brilliant help cheers. But no doubt ill have a couple more questions soon.

Already did, told me it has to be taken back to bear metal and redone cause a few stone chips, says it will look **** if just sprayed over.

But to do that cost money haha, so i'm just gonna leave it for the time being.

nice mate, let me know how you go with the lowering, i wanna lower my vt.

i agree with everyone else, kit it but definately no wing mate =]

and dont take offence but i personally hate vt ss rims, but its a step up from my ride im sittin on stockies hahaha.

i just got pacemaker headers and vx sv6 exhaust, paid 800 but you can feel the difference [and hear it] , i recommend gettin a good exhaust, thats if ur exhaust is stock.

    nice car mate.
