Isn't there a hole in the air box to drain the water or will it still get sucked up too quickly? The pipe is definately low to the ground so I'd be careful driving through puddles and ****.

In regards to power gain, who knows but I know it feels nicer to drive.
In regards to water getting into the motor, basically if I have removed the original intake then the 4inch pipe may act as a vacuum. But because I have left the original piping in, it will be sweet.
I did a fair bit of research and was happy with what I found, basically I wouldnt have gone ahead if I thought it could harm my motor. If anything I might shorten the piping slightly to get rid of that last bend...

I think it was about $200 or so, installed that is. Phreddy used my car as a guinea pig but he did a brilliant job..
O yeah it was another $50 or so to install the fluro globes into the foot wells..
Money well spent, interior feels completely different..

Yeah fuel ecomony seems to be better, its the only way I could gauge the changes it made, basically i used to use 3/4 tank per week. Now I am using half-ish maybe less and thats pushing it a little harder than normal...
Yeah I am telling ya, the dash conversion is sweet as... Makes it feel different. Specially with your car how you have done bits and pieces of blue...
Let me know once its done...

Just an update, did some bits and pieces this weekend... Fixed seat rail (gm doesnt not design for wide load), Changed wipers, Bought 2nd VY mirror... & gave a good wash and put my JCCC sticker on... Cheers Matt...
I know there will be mixed reactions about the VY mirrors, but in the end who cares right? Just looking for something a little different so my burgandy vt will look slightly different.. Just waiting to get the stato chrome exterior handles so I can send them away to get painted... And unlike HoldenManDan I am refusing to wait 2 months for it..
Just forgot to buy new gas struts for the bonnet... I will remember the next time it smashes me on the head whilst working on it... Also bought a second hand stock air intake... funny thing is that it noticeablely improved performance... I think the 1 that I hacked up was just useless in the end... Also checked the see how the 4" was going and seeing if the same thing happened (see if power improved)... When blocked off the car didnt run aswell... So I can safely say that the diy yt intake works well for $35-50....
Next on the list... 70mm tb, tune and strut brace....
