Good to know, its sweet to have this forum in place... before I had to always go searching for people who have tried things like this before, is there any noticable difference with the cutout?

With cutting out the bottom, I'm pretty sure that its just empty space under that part of the front end.... Good old air con piping and a bit of mesh to keep the crap out of the air intake...

Just about to clean my K&N now actually...

i havent actually done much driving since i did the cut out ( yesterday) the car seems a little bit more responsive but its not going to make you cream your dacks. The car still chirps second everytime so it hasnt made it worse anyways

Thats it, rub it in that you got a manual... Very smart man... I'd love one day to come up for a JC SA cruise.. Just for the sake of visiting SA..

Yeah I'm not expecting much but every little bit counts...

I got a modified lower airbox off another member that has a pipe that runs to the lower front of the car. It makes a little bit of a difference

On a six every bit helps.... just got some corvette servo's for the auto-box...

Can you still get the FIT CAI? or should I just go out and buy some air-con ducting and run it under the bar?

Cheers for comments 'grandpa', its the typical VT colour... Gotta save to get the munro headlights... Then I can stop....will be sweet to see ya VE on the next cruise...

Hey mate, headlights turned out well, as did the engine cover. Looking awesome! Are you going to paint the nuts holding the engine cover on? Let us know what sort of difference the corvette servos make, i've gotta start educating myself on all these auto-specific bits so i can help the missus with hers lol.

Oh i had a pick up from a place in smithfield today that you could try hitting up for the window chrome you're after, i'll PM ya the details.

Keep it up mate and dont forget double demerits this long weekend

How much did the gauges set you back if you dont mind me asking and where you got em from? Id like to do that to mine to fill the gap under my head unit.

ebay, set me back about $50-60 each. Cheapish brand... But the real cost comes in actually installing them. I was not brave enough to do the oil temp and vacuum meter... a bit tricky and a good chance to stuff up.

Install cost me about $300 and a whole day...

Best $400 odd dollars I ever spent... These are the 'defi' style which go a smokey black when the ignition is switched off... I love the look of them at night...

But yeah hope that helps...
