After a long time of talking, and talking, and talking about it...i have finally got my VT.
The search started in earnest about a month ago, when i set out to find an LS1 powered Holden.
My search covered from WH Statesmans, to Berlina's.
Then i stumbled across a '00 VT SS Commodore. On going to have a look i fell in love nearly straight away. It was the right colour, and it made the right noise thanks to the exhaust.
Now for the specs.
Year: 2000
Model: VT Commodore SS
Engine: 5.7 V8 Gen3 (LS1)
Gearbox: Automatic
Exhaust: Twin 2.5 Inch Cat Back Sports System
Colour: Phantom (Black)
Interior: Standard SS
Sound System: Standard SS
Rims: HSV VY Clubsport 18"
Plans:
My plans for this car in the future include:
Extractors
MAF-less tune
OTR Induction System
Lowering
And just generally cleaning it up. The rear spoiler is busted around the mounts where some drongo has obviously used it as a grab handle to operate the bootlid, and it needs a full detail.
Now for the pictures:

As for it being a VT, when i got it, and when i was in the process of buying it, i was talking about turning it into a VX lookalike, headlights, tail lights etc, but then when i got it, realised that it looks perfect as it is.
Just an update:
Got back from 2 weeks in QLD (nearly killed me not being able to drive it for 2 weeks after getting it 2 days previous) and have decided that because the car is going to be an everyday driver, lowering it any lower will be impractical. The car practically scrapes trying to get it on and off my driveway at the moment and any lower would make it a pain to do that. But that leaves more money for extractors.

VX Acclaim
Nice looking car mate. Only thing i would do is remove the ss badges and put vx ss badges on. Other than that it looks schmicko
Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise
i dont see how it can be effective at all?? probably a lot worse than ss reductions.
good move to put it back to std![]()
Just an update:
Going to get some pacemaker 4-1's fitted in the next fortnight with 3" highflow cats. Have discussed the mods i wish to do with the exhaust shop and this is the best path to take.
Then after that she's getting some new brakes. Slotted up front maybe and red calipers.
Tune will come soon and so will some form of intake.

Soundsystem got the flick in place of an Over The Radiator CAI. Power is better than tunes anyway. Tapedeck FTW.
