CAI setup looks good, hell, the whole car looks good.

any hassles with the IAT sensor mounted where you've got it? Was thinking of putting mine there when I go with the orrsom setup.

juzo - the Rip is excellent mate, a very worthy mod if you ask me, as it makes driving a manual a great experience!

sphinx - thanks very much mate. I have the IAT sensor in the OTR at the moment, that sensor was put into the radiator shroud as a test and lowered it a bit when sitting still, idling etc. The beauty of the OTRCAI is that even if it does warm up, say on a hot day and sitting still, or at low speed, once you get going, the IATs drop back to ambient within a minute or so - I've logged it before, so it isn't too bad.

    Cheers,

    Macca

    Cool

Well, thread has been dormant for a while and a lot has happened since 2008. A couple of months back, some clown decided to occupy the same space as my car and the Senator was a write-off.

After picking myself up off the floor and sulking about for a few weeks, I found a suitable replacement:-

    Gearbox: MM6 -T56.
Diff: Stock Hydratrak 3.91:1 LSD differential.
Exhaust: Stock Senator 300 1.5" 4-1s with GM cats and twin 2.5" HSV cat-back with 'Double-D' tips.
Interior: HSV Senator 300 unique 'Coulsen' Shale leather interior with high contrast Pewter highlights, 8-way electronic front seats.
Stereo: HSV / Eurovox 'Maestro' 260watt Premium car stereo system with 10-disc CD-stacker.

Well, the head / cam / timing chain and a host of other goodies have now been fitted to my Senator 300, as well as the AP-Racing brake set-up, DiFilippo exhaust, 'Street' Ripshift and a few other bits and pieces. I ran into a couple of hurdles, but they are now sorted. I'll update the thread with the new specs and pictures very soon!

    cheers
