hey guys thought it was about time to make a thread about my car.

MODEL- vx ss
YEAR- 2001
COLOUR- silver
BODYKIT- standard ss
ENGINE- ls1
TRANS- a4
POWER MODS- 3.9 diff gears, otr cai, mafless tune
EXHAUST- tri-y's, high flow cats, 3 inch single cat back--- for now
BRAKES- unsure of specs, big brakes, hsv calipers
SUSPENSION- fe2 for now
WHEELS- 19's sigs
Hornet Alarm

FUTURE MODS-
new tint
remove weather shields----but they are growing on me haha
cam, valve springs, 3000 stally, ported throttle body,
new suspension, springs and camber kit
new twin exhaust

thats all i can think of 4 now....

cheers, might needa find a new tyre shine, old car was genesis blue never realised how much it fliks up over the car till i got a silver car.

booked in for thursday, rebuild diff + 3.9s, otr cai and maffless tune. cant wait

nice car mate, what tyre shine did u use before? did u get all the crap off the tyres before you reapplied it?

i use meguiars gold class endurance high gloss, this purple gel.
last's ages, afew wash's
got anything you can recomend that doesnt flik up all over the joint?

cheers mate, same with yours was never really into red but a dumped red vs clubby with sunroof, cant go wrong

Yeah i find the gel flicks up everywhere aswell.. i use the meguiars spray in the black can instead doesnt make a mess when the tyres are cleaned good. just let it dry for a few minutes.

Yeh mate the sigs are new, traded in the vx ss rims to get them, got more trade in then i was expecting to sell them for.

well got my otr cai,tune and 3.9 diff gears today.
took it for a spin after the otr cai and tune was like a new car, crisp firm shifts, picks up speed instantly.
managed 217.5rwkw.
alota ppl have diff opinions on running in diffs but i was told and it also says on the box of the new gears not to go over 80km for atleast 300k's so im gonna go by that, very hard on the freeway lol

yeh i expected more 2, but valve spring are shot and needa touch up my exhaust after that should be up2 about 230-240, will do having trouble uploading.

picked up some engine covers today, was gonna grab them off ebay but for an extra 90 cents got them from holden.

finally get to drive the car normaly, tune and diff is awsome chirps the 19's with no probs and launches like a rocket.

car drives great next on the cards is darker tint and drop her on ssl and sl springs.

well the times i saw them on ebay they were $130 buy it now i got them for 90 cents more then that from holden.

first holden spare parts i rang said 180 for both, next said 130.90 for both and there within 5 min drive from each other haha

yeh going to get them done same time as cam and probly stally, around the 2g mark i think he said for cam, valve springs and re-tune.
only owned the car for a month so no rush really, gone from my old vx v6 to this so HUGE power difference.

wow thats really cheap where u getting that done.
ive had my ss for like a week too mate. sooo much better then the old six and probably a bit better on petrol too.
